Since we are in charge of  thinking about cafe idea at the madrasah, I tried to toy around with coffee art stencil |

Dah diberi tugasan untuk memikirkan tentang cafe di madrasah, saya cuba buat seni kopi guna stensil

I initially thought of just adding marshmallows on both hot and cold coffee | Mulanya, saya ingat cuma nak letak marshmallow kedalam kopi panas dan sejuk. 

I tried to heat up milk, and pulled and poured to foam it but the milk bubbles and the art shape didn't last long. 

I then sprinkled the cocoa powder on the floating marshmallows, but it didn't turn up the way I expected as well. 

Last but not least, I sprayed whipped cream on to the coffee and let it settle. Then, I sprinkled the cocoa powder and Voila... ! What amazing result.. like I am at the hipster cafe already lol. So grateful.  

Stuff needed:

- A cup of coffee 

- Whipped Cream

- A plastic or paper cut stencil with coffee art design (I got a set online from Shopee) 

- Cocoa powder

That's it. My heartfelt prayers for peace abroad and may God protect all humankind safe from war and any natural disaster all around the world.

Saya dah cuba panaskan susu dan tarik macam teh tarik untuk mendapatkan buih, tapi bentuk corak atas kopi tu tak boleh bertahan lama. 

Kemudian, saya cuba tabur serbuk koko atas marshmallow, pun tak jadi elok.

Akhir sekali, saya 'spray' krim putar atas kopi dan biar ia 'settle' dulu. Kemudian baru saya tabur serbuk koko,  Wow! Hasil yang mnenakjubkan, rasa ala ala berada di cafe hipster pulak hehe. Alhamdulillah... 

Keperluan:

- Kopi secawan

- Krim putar (dalam spray can) 

- Stensil plastik bercorak atau kertas dipotong corak kopi (coffee art card stencil) 

- Serbuk koko

Itu saja. Hati kecil mendoakan keamanan diluar sana, juga perlindungan serta keselamatan didunia untuk keseluruhan manusia sejagat dari perang dan bencana alam.

I searched for an easy  and simple recipe | Saya cari resepi yang mudah dan  ringkas.

When I started eating cake, I always tend to eat more. Oops! It's just one of my myth theory on my craving for sweetness lol. Nevertheless, when I saw fruits on top of a cake that blogger Kathy made, immediately I would thought it's healthy food, my psychology perspective. 

I kinda tweaked the recipe a bit and added one cup of oats. My original tendency was to put only oats but I feared that the cake won't turn up fluffy (It could become a solid cake that we called locally "bengkang". 

Loved how the cake turn up to be, it was delicious and yummy, a slice each day, after I had it, I'm looking forward to another day🤭

Bila dah mula menjamah kek, saya selalunya terlajak makan. Oops! Ini teori mitos saya berkenaan ketagihan makanan manis saya ni lol. Namun begitu, bila nampak buah buahan diatas kek yang blogger Kathy buat, terus ingat macam makanan sihat, kecenderungan psikologi saya. 

Saya mengubah resipi ni sikit dengan menambah secawan oats. Asalnya saya nak ganti terus tepung dengan oats tapi takut pulak kek ni tak naik gebu dan akan jadi macam bengkang.

Gembira lihat kek ni menjadi, dengan rasanya sedap dan lazat. SubhanAllah Hari hari makan sepotong, dan dengan bersemangat menanti hari esok :)

Wedding Meal | Hidangan majlis. Bertandang Kenduri Kahwin

Sorry that I didn't bring my kids to any wedding for time being. | Dukacita juga tak bawa anak-anak ke mana-mana majlis perkahwinan sementara ni. 

Wedding welcoming of dear niece from my mr hubby side | 

Majlis bertandang perkawinan anak sedara yang dikasihi di sebelah encik suami 

The meals were grand, the taste that I have been waiting for, it doesn't matter if it rice or others, I knew it's something delicious course set and been served. 

It has been awhile that we did everything, whether ordered or prepared food by myself. Thought of what to cook or what to order, once ready, served and cleared the table.  

At the wedding I just brought myself, be seated and being served. Grateful to God. 

Special meal served:

- Ghee Rice, chicken or beef,  acar (pickled dried fruits and garlics and mixed with sesame seed

- Fruits 

- Desserts

- Hot tea and cold drink

- Box of cookies as table gift 

- Packet of cookies as door gifts

It was an enjoying moment. Thanks dear niece and family for having us around.

Hidangan pastilah yang meriah, rasa secukup rasa yang dinantikan, tak kiralah set nasi atau set hidangan barat, tentu sedap dan terhidang. 

Dah lama duk buat semua sendiri, diantara pesanan atau menyediakan makanan untuk keluarga. Fikir apa nak dimasak atau nak order, bila dah tersedia, hidang pula seterusnya kemas meja. 

Di majlis begini hanya bawa diri, duduk diam-diam dan dilayan. Syukurnya padaMu.

Hidangan istimewa:

- Nasi minyak, ada ayam atau  daging

- Acar

- Buah-buahan

- Pemanis

- Sekotak cookies buat Buah tangan di meja 

- Sepaket cookies cenderahati di pintu masuk. 

Memang inilah moment yang sangat meriah. Terima kasih anak buah yang dikasihi sekeluarga kerana menjemput kami ke majlis bertandang ini.

Black Forest Cake

Planned to have the birthday party at the roof top in KL since parents stayed there for awhile | Rancang nak buat majlis harijadi 'roof top' di KL sementara parents masih ada di sana

For the sake of everyone's health, we went for plan B | Demi menjaga kesihatan masing-masing, kami teruskan dengan rencana B

We went to the mall instead, felt worse than any other plans, but then remembered that we "must hang to God and our efforts" and" "life must go on" . No choice, must have been there for an hour or more to buy a cake and presents. 

Came back, the birthday girl chose the living room for her event. I had only one person to discuss about party, food with. And, usually it's with adik, who's the birthday girl. For other matter with regards to decor also with her.

Set up a bit, wrap up some gifts which includes 'Youtuber for dummies', Sunflower planting seeds and another book of a different topic. She loved them all. 

And the black forest cake was bought from Komugi, a Japanese chain bakery shop. I also served hot Cadbury drink, and add on marshmallows. Gratefully, we had it ala Hi-Tea with cuppa Cocoa with macaroons and cookies, and the special one was the slice of black forest cake.

Gerak ke mall, rasa paling tak selesa di antara rencana lain, tapi terpaksa ikut "hidup mesti diteruskan  dan bertawakkal. Tiada pilihan, sampai sana, luangkan masa sejam dua untuk beli kek dan hadiah. 

Balik ke rumah, birthday girl pilih ruang tamu untuk majlisnya. Saya pun ada seorang ja yang boleh bawa bincang tentang majlis-majlis ni. Biasanya adiklah orangnya kerana dia suka parti. Tentang dekorasi pun bincang dengan adik juga. 

Siap sikit-sikit, balut semua hadiah hadiah yang terdiri dari buku 'Youtuber for dummies', biji benih bunga matahari dan buku cerita topik lain. Adik suka semua. 

Dan kek Black Forest dibeli dari kedai kek Jepun Komugi. Saya bancuh minuman panas Cadbury dan letak marshmallow. Syukur terasa ala Hi Tea dengan secawan air panas bersama manisan macaroon, cookies dan yang teristimewa sekali tu ialah sepotong kek black forest.

Cauliflowers and Fish | Bunga Kobis goreng dan Ikan

Searched of protein ended.. after the small block of fish found | Pencarian protin berakhir dengan terjumpanya seketul ikan  jenahak 

Ifi  serve it during lunch it would be fought over | Jika dihidang di waktu makan tengahari akan menjadi rebutan ramai

Since the fish was from the tail portion so the flesh was not much. I grilled like to 'get rid' of it from my fridge quickly hehe, sometimes ordering from online does gave heartache. 

By the way, about the birds, the yellow vented bulbul, every morning they always come at the back window thats why I hang a bird food container at the window to share food with them. (sometimes even squirrel pay us a visit too) :) 

Ok back to fish and cauliflowers. Small serving and simple preps were nice  with coffee. Thank God. Already safe in tummy. Relief :)

Oleh kerana potongan ikan itu dari bahagian ekornya, jadi tak banyak isi. Bila goreng pun macam nak cepat 'clear' peti ais hehe. Masalah juga bila order dari online ni. 

Burung Merbah Kapur dalam video ni memang suka bertandang kat tingkap dapur. Tu  sebabnya saya letak bekas makanan burung kat situ; Dapat kongsi rezeki dengan burung burung tu. (kekadang tupai pun singgah) :) 

Oklah, berbalik kepada kobis bunga dan ikan. Hidangan yang kecil dan penyediaan yang mudah, disempurnakan dengan sechangkir kopi panas. Terima kasih Allah SWT, telah selamat di dalam perut. Leganya.. :)

DIY Apple Pie & Pizza

While parents visiting, I wanted to serve them something different. | Semasa ibubapa datang, nak juga jamu mereka yang lain skit.

Strive enuf to make it apple fillings from scratch. | Tungkus lumus juga buat isi epal dari mula

My parents came, sat for awhile, and later wanted to make a move back. So I kept the apple jam in the jar. For 2 apples, sugar plus cinnamon equals to 1 jar.

As the morning rose, I rolled the the bread slices and cut patterns with cookie cutter and filled with apple jam, baked them in the oven. Where I got all the ideas from? Youtubers :) 

The bread with apple fillings were not filling enough, so I laid the tortilla sheet and sprinkled the  premium ingredients at my standard, baked for 10 mins and ate them as second round breakkie. 

And I'm also glad to see a squirrel came and had the food that I put in the container which is hanged at the window outside.

Parents datang, duduk dan nak gerak balik. Jadi saya simpan epal dalam jar. 2 biji epal, gula tambah serbuk kayu manis jadi 1 balang. 

Bila pagi menjelang, saya canaikan roti, corakkan dengan acuan biskut, bakar dalam ketuhar. Dapat mana la pulak idea macam ni? Warga-warga youtuber :) 

Roti berisi jam epal tidak dapat mengisi perut sepenuhnya. Jadi hampar kepingan wraps, tabur potongan premium piza "standard" saya, dan bakar dalam ketuhar, makan sarapan buat kali kedua Alhamdulillah. 

Dan seronok pula nampak tupai makan makanan yang diletakkan di dalam bekas yang digantung di luar tingkap tu.
