Ombak Rindu - Outside the Box

Off I went to watch Ombak Rindu after I saw a friend's status about it which was strongly recommended. She is a busy friend but managed to watch the movie on the very first day the movie was out. It must be a special story  adapted from a novel that I also came across about it in the blog sites.

Ombak Rindu " the waves of longing for love, belongings, acceptance..."

The movie was about a girl Izzah, a religion teacher acted by Maya Karin was sold to a brothel by her uncle due to money matters. You would tear at the very beginning scene. Yet, you might not because a handsome Harris acted by Aaron Aziz, out of a nice car was there to the rescue while she was trying to flee from the brothel. Unfortunately the brothel's gang came at the same time and pulled her back to their place.
There again, she was rescued as a mistress by a playboy, the same handsome rich guy Harris (Aaron Aziz). He brought her to his home, the resort like house, I was intrigued and loving it. So moistured eyes not enuf to tear, though back of the mind, worried sick of the saying "keluar dari mulut buaya, masuk mulut harimau, means rescuer could be also a bad guy, my heart didn't relax.

The heartbreaker Harris who married Izzah for a sake of Izzah's request though he had already engaged with a childhood friend, a beautiful actress Mila, character  brought by Lisa Surihani who is a spoiled brat, yet an innocent victim. I felt sorry for her because she is genuinely in love with Harris.  She has a treasure chest that she keeps little things that she did with her childhood boy who promised to marry her. I felt touched that she said to him "One day, you will be deeply in love with me, after marrying me"... inevitably came out from her.  It also touched me when Harris agreed to marry Mila to please his mother. Just a mummy's boy thingy :) Very touching...to mother mother niee...
Heartfelt to hear Harris bravely declared that he had married Izzah whom he didn't think he would fall in love and would be so in love with.  It was a very nice scene together with the haunting music at the back with the lyrics...Tuhan tolong lembutkan hati dia untuk terima ku seadanya (Dear God, please tame his heart to love me as I am)... it could break you down, prayers do wonder mysteriously...

The above photo is Mila = Lisa Surihani with her Treasure chest - full of stuffs activities she had with 'Mr Wrong'. She became an actress to impress her love, Harris. Everything she did, she did for him, it seems. Her collections stuffs can build a nice scrapbook; A todays' trend. I have one in the photo below which I just started. Relatively, yesterday as I took a Paddington napkin and pancake flag to put in my scrapbook, my hubby gave me another napkin, I said no, no, not the whole restaurant that I need and too many will become junks haha...he said keep laa... like Lisa Surihani  did hehe....

Back to the film, the plot thickens. Misunderstanding begins when Harris was seen together with a colleague, both the wives waved upside down upsetting, love triangle chasing moment begins which ended Harris in the hospital due to an accident.
While he's recovering, Izzah was chased out from the house cruelly by Harris's mother. There again her childhood male friend Mael came to ease the situation, watery eyes remains back in the socket. In fact, she was seen with Mael everywhere, coincidentally and mistakenly to make the Harris's mother cruel intention appeared real.

Mila (Lisa Surihani) wants to be realistic to her life. For her, there always a chance to have happiness she deserves without messing people's lives. Although she loves Harris all her life, but she sacrifice to let him go with unopened heart...poor rich girl...

Spice Girls

Do I look like one of them? Just for laughs :) I'm in love with spice n herbs stuffs. I've made herbal juice plus spices drinks not long ago. I love it, it is a very soothing and calming drink. Later I will share with you the ingredients of the drink, so you can make the drink yourself at the comfort of your home and you will feel like in a cosy Spa while sipping it :) Now I am blogging about herbs and spices as recently, I just read an article that could not help to bookmark the joy of reading and also to experience it "Live" in visiting a place called "Spice Villages". Spice villages are located all over Kerala the most advanced state in India which also earned its reputation as the Venice of the East!.

In the article said upon arrival, the arduous journey will be forgotten as you indulge in a sensory experience like never before. The interesting part that I love the most is that not only spices n herbs grown in every nook and corner, most spice village operators enhance the experience by using herbal or spice products in just about everything.

Examples are lemongrass floor cleansers which not only keep the floors sparkling clean, but also emit a sweet sharp scent that keeps insects away. It's also common to find large pieces of raw ginger hanging from restaurant roofs as decor or spices in large gunny sacks tucked at corners.

There, you can also learn how to use spices and herbs in your daily life to become happier, healthier and perhaps wealthier - I heard this many times that natural ingredients in a vitamins that smell like alfafa, we can rest assured that it's genuine from herbs. I love the smell and to know the farm is ecological or organic that can produce such vitamins. You can start by learning to identify them by names and scents - a task made easy by the conscientious tagging of each spice or herb in the gardens.

Infact in my home I use only organic solutions. I feel safe and so natural with the products that are no harm to rivers and cruelty free. I'd like to tell more of herbs that work. Perhaps laterrrr loves:)

I know I love you before I met you

HKG with luv

With gratefulness to say within five weeks many things had happened. The most miracle one is five weeks is here with me. During this five weeks, I went around Hong Kong's concrete jungle.

Yes a beautiful five weeks that I cherish so much and to Allah I thank you and pray with gratefulness. I love the feelings of having this five weeks with me, would want to keep it to myself and enjoy it in my mind. I care about this five weeks and its too early to check it out but I need to make some changes once the feeling of the five weeks is here. By sharing it with pro can start the changes as early as possible. To share it out and to make sure the existence of the five weeks is here, is

morning sunlight breakfast garden

to convert myself from a tea and coffee drinker occasionally to dairy drinks drinker mostly. After sharing it with a professional is also to get rid of the vitamins I took to get this 5 weeks to exist. Thankful I did, the new supplements is replaced from the five weeks to many months to go.

stop for flowers :)

Alhamdulillah again I must repeatedly say though it was not easy to believe it at the beginning. The reality is here as 3 of us had witness the existence of the five weeks is normal in the right place. Looking forward to another month to meeting with the healthy beautiful 9 weeks again. The normal anxious feeling is here like just can't wait as usual. Patience and beautiful prayers are best investments. Early on during five weeks, was in an island snorkeling, less than five weeks was at a cafe for red velvet, was having it with girlie feelings. Was at kenduri aqiqah of a beautiful baby girl and glad to hold her closely. Before weeks, had received the good news of same kind news, this five weeks is the most beautiful thing out of the best things ever happened to us.

Non-stop praying with today is fifth week you are with me for months to come healthily and beautifully. And whispering to you my beautiful baby, I know I love you before I met you.

Stop & Stare Island

It rained heavily that morning, the morning I packed my bag heading to the land surrounded with blue water as heard. Got the ticket, got the gears for the water trip but by air I chose. The trip was delayed at the airport. 3 hours we waited, the loudspeaker called to pass desert for lunch while the airplane being fixed.

In the afternoon towards evening we arrived at the KB airport, taxi took us to the K Besut jetty. The wind embraced our faces, the breeze of South Chine Sea in the bright evening we breathed. Boarded in a boat, sped on the water, heading to the island that was none to see from the mainland. The boat rowed with motor engined, fast the island becoming bigger and bigger as we approached and the color of the sea changes to crystal clear that hidden fish can be seen.In the middle of the ocean the boat stopped and the boat driver asked the Tuna Hotel guests, raised your hands, the couple infront of us, raised their butts instead to reach their bags and waiting to walk out of the boat. The boat driver abruptly said please wait til the limo comes nearer, the limo is a another small boat to take them to the hotels. Only smaller boats can go near the beach to safe the coral. The limo which was the hotel boat came near, the boat driver said to the couple, you are lucky today, no need to swim today, the limo is here for you :) Enjoy your stay, the water is clear, watch out for deep water :)

Then our turn arrived at the hotel located at the nicest beach in South East Asia. Our room was by the beach which was the other side of the most beautiful beach. Upon arrival on the beach, got in the room, the clothes on our body we stripped, slipped in water gear from neck to ankle for summer girl like me afraid of the sun :), soaked up in the sun and sea, we were. No camera, nothing on the beach we left except the colourful flip flops on the powdery sand. Me lied on my back floating under the blue sky roof.

The chalet type hotels served nice ala carte and buffet, wanted ala carte but too hunger to wait, buffet we stuffed our tummys fast. Too tired to see beautiful scenery in the dark, but the sound of the wind and the waves from the beach cuddled us to sleeptight. Morning awake us to stroll along the beach which full of colourful fish. Checked out the place no wheel vehicles except water taxies. Strolling in the jungle by the ocean, bumped into an old lady sweeping the dried leaves, chatted with her who lived in a small village which was a place for the fishermen stopped to rest had developed into a small village. She wanted to sell 3 acre land by the hill at MYR150 k.

The trip went so fast with fantastic activities. Looked out for turtles, fish, baby sharks, beautiful coral, swam in the crystal clear sea. Luckily got to meet up with a tight schedule diver friend stayed at another bay. Enjoyable stops in Perhentian which means Stops centre for fishermen to continue fishing. The stops became commercialized for tourists to visit and dive left the fishermen turned to water taxi drivers and water tourist guide to hop from beaches to beaches. Some kids from the island told they want to be a Diving instructors when they grow up, water taxi drivers are their fathers' work for now. They dont view themselves as fishermen as the blue water where they live is protected by the ocean enforcement.

Morning arrived, breakfast taken, time to take off to colorful home, but the fishermen stopping point is where you turn left, right, front, nothing but blue view which make the trip as an amazing "stop" at the island of Perhentian!
The fish stopped at me. I stared and shared with you all :)

[ Iyaz ]
Shawty's love is like a pyramid
We stand together till the very end
There'll never be another love for sure
Iyaz and Charice let we go

[Charice]
Stones, heavy like the love you've shown (shown)
Solid as the ground we've known (known)
And I just wanna carry on
We took it from the bottom up (no no no)
And even in a desert storm (yeah)
Sturdy as a rock we hold (oh)
Wishing every moment froze
Now I just wanna let you know
Earthquakes can't shake us
Cyclones can't break us
Hurricanes can't take away our love

Pyramid, we built this on a solid rock
It feels just like it's heaven's touch
Together at the top (at the top baby), like a pyramid
And even when the wind is blowing
We'll never fall just keep on going
Forever we will stay, like a pyramid

Like a pyramid like a pyramid eh (ooh)
Like a pyramid like a pyramid eh (ooh)
Like a pyramid like a pyramid eh eh (oooh)

[Charice]
Cold (cold), never ever when you're close (close)
We will never let it fold (fold)
A story that was never told
Something like a mystery (yoh!)
And every step we took we've grown
Look how fast the time has flown
A journey to a place unknown
We're going down in history
Earthquakes can't shake us (oh)
Cyclones can't break us (oh)
Hurricanes can't take away our love

[Iyaz]
Like a pyramid girl let me show you
That I love you so much
That we gonna get through (oh oh)
Even when there's storms
I will never go, Ima be the one to keep you safe (hey)
Before was our love back it up more than enough
Holding on to one another be the cover when it's rough (oh oh)
Mother nature (hey) or disaster won't stop at happy ever after

[Charice]
Pyramid, keep it going (like a pyramid, like a pyramid)
Oh oh ooooh (like a pyramid, like a pyramid)

[Chorus]
Pyramid, we built this on a solid rock (solid rock)
It feels just like it's heaven's touch (oooh)
Together at the top (at the top baby, at the top girl), like a pyramid
And even when the wind is blowing
We'll never fall just keep on going (keep it going)
Forever we will stay (Charice), like a pyramid (what what)

[Chorus]
Pyramid, we built this on a solid rock
It feels just like it's heaven's touch
Together at the top (at the top baby, at the top girl), like a pyramid (pyramid)
And even when the wind is blowing
We'll never fall just keep it going
Forever we will stay (ooh), like a pyramid

[Outro - Iyaz]
Like a pyramid like a pyramid eh
Like a pyramid like a pyramid eh
Like a pyramid like a pyramid eh eh

Everything I do, I do it for you.

Last night, I was at a mall and heard the song "Everything I do, I do it for you" by Bryan Adams. It reminds me of my conversation with my mom. She told me that the song is her favorite, I went how come?

20 years ago, she went to the commercial bank to get money which was very huge amount. The bank told her, she was not allowed to take the money as the Central bank needs her to declare it where the money came from and why etc.
After few days, the money was transferred to her account. The bank gave her the transferred slip together with the note written "Gift from son" which the bank made it easier for her. And the real message on the note that came with the slip was written "Everything I do, I do it for you" from your son, somewhere in Tokyo.

That was the best love story between mom and son I ever heard.

mY bodY is a wonderland

Says John Mayer "One mile to every inch of Your skin like porcelain One pair of candy lips and Your bubblegum tongue" tooot - #censored:)# My mind is over my body, my head to toe body interests me more than anything, it is about clothings, touching-up and mind wondering there's no way I can get bored with my body that God lends it to me. I travelled to places to see, but myself that I think make the places lovely. The view I look for the snap spot, 80% of me had blocked the scenery. Life is so cool when nothing is essential than your body self, to appreciate the essence of life, breathing and caring for your body. I mind to be kind to the vehicle's part I owe, so I sit with my hands to give my butt a rest :)

Butt is sitting on air comfortably

the photos were deleted for awhile, sit on lotus pose then lift up your butt with your hands

Start with flying side ways :)

in plank pose, raise one hand up, secure the with one feet.

Bend backward to counter our norm bend forward mostly.

There's no magic carpet ride nor arrogance. Ends with babY-pose.

Love to me is... Contest

love between grandpa and grandson on Earth
Love to me is... for the Cik Peah's Contest

Last night, I had dinner with my dad. He said Nasa had found a new planet, but the planet is hotter than the Earth. No man can't live there. If it's not hot and man can live there, he would be the first to live there :) I said oh no, you don't love your planet here on Earth hehe... He sounded he loves it but wants to feel the missing feelings towards the Earth etc...Ahaa...this is kind of related right?
When you love something, you crave for it so badly. When you have it, you are so in love with it then you would want to test your love wether you will miss it when you are not in it....kind of complicated. But most love songs go well when you want to fall in love or when you are missing something or someone. Not when you are in love...mmm...one or two you will find the kind of songs.

I love falling in love too, physically and mentally. Fall in love with something nice is beyond awesome. Love for someone physically and what they are good at like a singer is just to pass time and to develop loving feelings and the songs they sang are nicer when we walk along the beach and reminisce the past, got me :) We feel blessed and feel loved without any song on, that's the best.
Love to me is...love, loving, being loved, feel loved by, to love, in love are necessity. When it is blackout, no supplies, wait, pray and dream like we used to... like how we got influenced by the love stories' movies :) Simply...want to meet someone, drop the books in library, pick up the books and break the ice, eye to eye and back to reality. Tell mom, friends about it, get approval, the weight begins, mom's love or the found love. This love vs that love, so many kind of loves we need to consider.

This is the song since I am a mom myself

Bachelor Girl Lyrics - Buses And Trains

Hey Mom, why didn't you tell me?
Why didn't you teach me a thing or two?
You just let me go, out into the world,
You never thought to share what you knew.

(Chorus): So I walked under a bus, I got hit by a train, Keep fallin' in love,
Which is kind of the same, I've sunk out at sea, crashed my car, gone insane,
And it felt so good, I wanna do it again.

Hey Mom, why didn't you warn me?
'Cause about boys there's something I should have known,
They're like chocolate cake, like cigarettes,
I know they're bad for me but I just can't leave 'em alone.

(Repeat Chorus) Hey Mom, since we're talkin',
What was it like when you were young?
Has the world changed or is still the same?
A man can kill and still be the sweetest fun. (Repeat Chorus)

As, I am a daughter myself too, creates delima and one of the persons made me a mom,a daugther whether the child, the marriage, mom or the love because of Allah gives the best and knows the best.

Always pray to God for the greatest love to come with great gratitude. Develop love to God, He'll show you the best way and the love that you never had, love you have never expected between people, things, you have never known. You could feel love naturally and cherish it, appreciate it with Allah consent. InsyaAllah.

New 2011 Noted

Happiest New Year, InsyaAllah (Godwilling).

After eleven days, I've now got a chance to sit on my teak wood seat to key into the blog and say something with gratitude that I'm blessed to be in 2011 with my loved ones around. I just asked my son to sit still as I was preparing his bath tub. It's been a while I rotated the tasks until the maids, I have neutral feelings toward them but I can't/couldn't live without them had made me maid-less in manhattan again. Another is on the way. I need them for my new projects, anyway.

The water was filled in the bath tub for my heart and soul (in the photo with me), three drops of Johnsons bodywash, and on the side was a small pill filled with water and 2 drops of hair shampoo. While his body soaked in, I shampooed his hair. Diluted hair/body shampoo is better for him everytime (good tips for baby skincare). He's a freshed and cleaned man on the floor, exploring every corner of the four walls.

Now back on my comfy seat, 2010 was so meaningful, just love to settle in here to count all my blessings with eyes closed gets the feelings at best. The feelings is like you are so in love. Like you put your two hands together on the left chest, your head slightly tilt to the left and natural sounds come from your closed smiled lips, mmmm :)

No resolutions except for wishes and prayers to get better life as I live, love and breathe it. And enjoy it and fall in love with it again and again. Cheers 2011!

Grateful that I got to do two things at the same time :)

Love

The more I think it over, the more I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people - Vincent van Gogh

I just simply chose the title, I did not know what to type anyway, so I search the nicest phrase from Vincent Van Gogh and pasted here.

I have many ambitions at my age now, I want so much to be rich, not just rich but to make money which the money is generate itself one day, I sounded like a scientist, magician maybe. And the legacy to leave behind to the future generation, sounded like an politician lol! But my real ambition was to be in motherhood phase of life. I thank Allah for giving me that, which is only from Allah I have it and I am in it, Alhamdulillah. But I am not a mother to a princess yet, so here I go again pray to Allah everyday, everytime it crosses my mind, I ask from God that I want a beautiful solehah daughter. I admire mothers and daughters relationship, I nurture the feelings motherly feelings of a daughter. I naturally wanted a baby sister though, I never had one. So it is time for me to have a baby girl "wink" "wink" InsyaAllah.

At one point of life, I was earning love from my nephews, and still actually, I told them I love them everytime I saw them. I do that as they are the younger generations that I want to love and continue relationship in the future years to come. I can feel the loves of theirs as well. They care about me especially one of them said that he had to company me as I was a single woman supposed not to go anywhere alone. I feel touched but I didn't expect that to happen as he is a young boy and he has his own life takes over his thoughts. At least there is something nice to hear, whatever you give, you get back! - the phrase of some book. Now that I have a handsome boy of my own, I know better to love him, naturally better, not just love but I will give a beautiful baby sister to him...haha.. it is a typical human's desire, want want want :)

Travelling

I craved for travelling so much, that's why I love airports, Wright Brothers hehe...as for highways...appreciate them so much too with green sceneries and the concretes jungle stops.

How I wish I could pack bags and off to places in overseas...I've never been to London...people around me said, just came back from London, she's not here, in London at the moment, London, London. I must find ways to make my way there. But for a while I want to go somewhere near, I just have to flip the websites of AirAsia, Malaysian Airlines or KLM or etc which are my favourite sites now :)

SundaY at mY parents

side walk view from my parents' home

My nephew said he feels misplaced where he is. Sounded like he needs some space. He is at his grandparents. While having lunch, his grandma offers him yogurt drink, he declined as he is fine with plain water. He said he feels misplaced because he doesn't know where he supposed to be. His friend wants him, his grandparents want him to stay longer, his mother wants him home, his teacher wants him not to miss the class, his brother wants him to attend the class with him and us, me and family want him to the theme park.

I told him, he must be proud of himself, he is adorable to everyone, he is just like his mother. Every relative wants her too, from the great-grandparents to the tiny aunty.
Then come again my mother offers her grandson who already told her nicely that he does not want to be offered again. She offers him orange juice this time, I immediately say offer me, offer me, me, me as I was lazy to take the drink myself. I said to my mother, she must offer me otherwise I feel misplaced, I came to my parents for a visit sort of but more to unwind in the metropolitan life. Next to my parents house, just a step away, you could find everything that you want, theme park, mall, shops, cinema, iceskating rink, heavy traffic etc.

I love my parents' place but I live somewhere else in the mainland part of an island. I once dreamt of cities by the water and I got it. I am loving it that I can go anywhere within a fifteen-minute drive. There are some entertainment, well I went there once and wrote about it in my previous post.
I like the wind from the island, so close and embracing. I, though, ain't quite ready to call there a place I love the most.
Looking back, I was not really land anywhere, having lived in BB, PJ, among other places. Happy places, though are slippery things. Some hate on their first two visits but magically fell in love with the third time. Likewise, some other love a place on the first move but then grows tired of it overtime.
Some places are like family. They are good or not so to be with, especially during the holidays but we keep coming back for more because we know deep in our hearts our destinies are intertwined.
view from my place :)

mom with TelepathY

Telepathy is the transfer of information on thoughts or feelings between individuals by means other than the five senses. I do not know much about telepathy. Recently, I was watching discovery channel with my nephew about pyschic mind, telepathy crossed my mind. My nephew said telepathy is not invented.

I heard about telepathy from my mother during my teen years. She suggested me to do telepathy when I asked her for the key to unlock the land line telephone to make phone calls. The home phone or the land line phone was my toy besides TV or Mini player as l loved talking on the phone with friends to kill times. But the phone was locked to save on the bills and yet could receive incoming calls.

I needed the telephone so badly especially on school holidays. That was the time my mom would ask me to do Telepathy to make the friend whom I wanted to speak to would call me instead. She taught me how to do it and it did not work everytime. I told her that I would do reverse charge call but she didn't buy the trick. I tried to sit with eyes closed and opened trying to do telepathy :) That was then...

Now I am grateful that I open my eyes the netbook is beside me and the cell phone within my grab. These are my now favorite gadgets. Alhamdulillah.

Maid-less in Manhattan

When this happens, I don a Cinderella maid attire (Apron) but wish Fairy Godmother to sweep me away to the living room to watch TV. That's the head of my tale...and it is a long tail to tell about the house chores that needs to do the same tasks over and over again on different day and yet it's uninteresting...

I put on apron on top of my nice clothings to do housework. I dress well in the house not because Prince is around, it is because it is easier to hop into the horse cart to finish the outside work like going to the "mamak" to get gravy sometimes. I fry well but too much work on the gravy. Take home is the trick to survive as a Cinderella.

Anyway, washing, wiping, keeping, cleaning house is great because you find treasures along the way...and to keep the treasures well is a real pleasure...that is my saYang...

saYang

Sayang means love in Malay language. I tried to use it before, it didn't come easy to me. Saying I love you was not hard, much easier saying love you too. I could replace the word sayang to the word "baby or "dear". Until you come into my life, sayang comes so easy, I could utter the word every second when I hold you or look at you or think of you...my sayang ala my sayang...more than words...my sweetheart, my heartbeat. Alhamdulillah.

Travel Green - The last one's the shooting locations for the film Anna & The King in 1998. It still showcases a replica of a Siamese Court feature

This is Sundays in My City hosted by the ever so lovely Unknown Mami.

Kuala Gandah Elephants Sanctuary

Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary is a base for the elephant relocation team, which began the translocation program in 1974. Being the only one of its kind in Malaysia, the team's duty is to track down, sedate and relocate problem elephants from areas whose natural habitats are constantly encroached by human developments, namely plantations. Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre, or popularly referred to as the Elephant Orphanage Sanctuary, is located within the bio diversified-rich and protected Krau Game Reserve & was set up in 1989 under the DWNP (Department of Wildlife & National Parks, Malaysia), manned by the Elephant Capture & Translocation Unit.

Deerland - World of the Nature Park

The Deerland Park is a privately owned and managed deer park in Lanchang, Pahang. The park has some 30 Indonesian deer (Cervus timorensis). Visitors to the park has a chance to hand feed these gentle creatures and observe their behaviour at close hand. Other attractions in the 4-hectare park located at the edge of the Krau Forest Reserve, include ostriches and a sun-bear (Helarctos malayanus) named Muda. There is also a section dedicated to the cultivation of traditional herbal plants, which has over 40 species of traditional herbs. A 200-metre wooden walkway runs through this area, leading up to an observation tower in the middle of Bukit Rengit.

Our first encounter inside was with two honey bears which had been given to Deerland by the Malaysia Wildlife Council; both bears had been living with the Orang Asli and it was felt
that they would be better cared for at Deerland

Kuala Kangsar, The Royal City

Kuala Kangsar (population 39,300) is the royal town of Perak, Malaysia, located at the downstream of Kangsar River, where it flows into the Perak River. It is the main town in the administrative district of Kuala Kangsar
One flooding was so severe, it almost swept the palace away. Finally, after the Big Flood or Air Bah in 1926, it was decided to move the place further up onto the knoll where stands the current Royal Palace named
Istana Iskandariah with its Art-Deco architecture, a rare but significant piece of architectural milestone in Malaysia.
The town is also the site of the first rubber tree planted in Malaysia. The person responsible was the English botanist Henry Nicholas Ridley. He was the one who helped Malaya and eventually Malaysia become the largest rubber producer in the world. The tree still stands today.
Clearwater Sanctuary Batu Gajah - the shooting locations for the film Anna & The King in 1998. It still showcases a replica of a Siamese Court featured in the film.

It's surrounded by pristine fairways. Majestic raintrees, shimmering lakes and an inviting swimming pool set amidst nature make perfect backdrop for quiet holidays. This is Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Resort in Batu Gajah, near Ipoh in Perak. It’s long been a popular place for golfing and a fantastic one too judging from the numerous awards it has received. Its 27-hole golf course is ranked among the top 10 by Golf Malaysia and has also been voted the best golf resort by Expatriate Lifestyle magazine for the year 2006/2007 and Golf Course of the Year 2007/2008 in the Hospitality Asia Platinum Award 2007.The Raintree Nine is especially lovely with mature trees with branches drooping to the ground.

The resort was one of the shooting locations for the film Anna & The King in 1998. It still showcases a replica of a Siamese Court featured in the film.

SundayS

This is Sundays in My City hosted by the ever so lovely Unknown Mami.

These are the masjids we took breaks for prayers during our outing times for shopping or sight seeing on Sundays.

Sultan Sulaiman Royal Mosque is Selangor's royal mosque, which is located in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. It was constructed by the British in the early 1930s and was officially opened in 1932 by the late Almarhum Sultan Sir Alaeddin Sulaiman Shah of Selangor and the British's Federated Malay States High Commissioner Sir Lawrence Nuuns Guillemard. The mosque's architecture is a combination of Western Art Deco and Neoclassical styles.

Federal Territory Masjid or Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan is a major Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. The beautifully-designed masjid is also commonly known as Masjid Wilayah to the locals.

Ubudiah Mosque - While convalescing from an illness in Port Dickson, Sultan Idris Murshidul-adzam Shah (1887-1916) made a vow to build a mosque at Bukit Chandan, Kuala Kangsar, when he fully recuperated.
After his return to Kuala Kangsar, he commanded Colonel Huxley of the Public Works Department, Kuala Lumpur, to design a mosque which he wanted to build. Architect Hubbert designed the mosque by adopting Moorish architecture in his design. Mr. Caulfield, the State Engineer then, was responsible for the construction. The unique Moorish design by Mr. Hubbert has made Ubudiah Mosque one of the building which attract tourists for its interesting architectural features

Masjid Terapung or Floating Mosque of Tanjung Bungah is a big Malay mosque built at the bay in Tanjung Bungah. Despite its name, the mosque is not floating, but rather standing on pilings and stilts. Nevertheless it is the first mosque to be built in the sea in Malaysia (other floating mosques in Malaysia have so far been built on lakes).

Zee Avi (birth name : Izyan Alirahman,[1] also known as KokoKaina;[2] b. 1986)[3] is a Malaysian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and ukulele player. She was born in Miri, Sarawak, on the island of Borneo. She moved to Kuala Lumpur when she was 12.[4] She studied fashion design at American InterContinental University in London.[5]

In September 2007 Avi posted a video of her first song on YouTube for one of her friends who had missed her first performance in Kuala Lumpur. The friend convinced Avi to leave the video online even after he had seen it, and soon she received positive feedback. This inspired her to put more videos on YouTube.[5] After being featured on the main page of YouTube, she was discovered by Patrick Keeler of The Raconteurs, who passed the link to Ian Montone, the manager of The White Stripes, The Shins, The Raconteurs, and others. Montone passed her music on to Emmett Malloy, who signed her to Brushfire Records, a record company which is partly owned by Jack Johnson.[4] Her song "No Christmas For Me" is featured on Brushfire Records's 2008 Christmas album This Warm December: A Brushfire Holiday.[6]

Her single "Bitter Heart" was first to become available on the US iTunes store, and her full self-titled debut album was released on May 19, 2009, co-produced by Brushfire Records and Ian Montone's Monotone Records. On the day of her album's release, YouTube featured her on the front page in Spotlight: Music Tuesday. From June–August 2009, she toured the United States with Pete Yorn. The final concert on her first U.S. tour was at the Music Box at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood, California on August 27, 2009. [7] [8]
