From Pontian, a district in the southern state of Johore, which is near to our neighbouring country, Singapore.

Dari Pontian, sebuah daerah dari negeri selatan tanahair iaitu Johor, yang dekat dengan negara jiran iaitu Singapura

From the jetty we took a ferry ship to an island

Dari jeti tanah besar, ambil kapal feri ke pulau

Without booking of any hotel or resort, we tried our luck whether there was any room available.

The motor bike rider that commuted our bags and elderlies told and took us to a remote beach, the Idaman Beach Holiday resort at Kampung Genting. We agreed as all the beaches around Pulau Tioman are well known for being beautiful. Got the keys at a lobby which look like a cafe hut.  We walked to the unit and didn't realized that infront of the chalet  assigned was home of the fruit bats. 

The screeching sounds were going on and on, night and day non stop. Thought daytime is their sleep time, while at night they flew out from the tree, not as expected. We ignored it by going to the beach a bit further. When heading back to the chalet, we could hear the irritating nuisance sound from afar. 

It was a memorable experience going to an island without planning and booking.  Had a resort with sound of waves and  spooky creatures with clicks of chirping like and sound from  flapping of their wings. Island hopping and snorkeling activities still done deal.

Tanpa membuat tempahan di mama-mana hotel atau resort, kami cuba nasib kalau-kalau ada bilik chalet yang kosong. 

Penunggang motorbasikal yang mengangkut beg-beg kami juga warga emas memberitahu dan menunjuk kearah hotel terpencil, iaitu Idaman Beach Holiday resort di Kampung Genting. 

Setahu kami Pulau Tioman terkenal kerana dikelilingi oleh pantai pantai yang cantik, jadi kami tak kisah di mana pun untuk bermalam. Kami dapat kunci di lobi resort yang rupa seakan macam pondok cafe.

Bila kami jalan ke unit chalet, tak di sangka chalet yang diberi di depannya pantai yang indah, tetapi ada pokok pokok rhu yang menjadi rumah beratus ekor keluang di hadapannya. .

Bunyi keluang berbunyi nyaring, hingar bising, bertalu-talu tak habis-habis, ingatkan malam masa keluarnya, pun tidak, siang masa tidurnya pun tidak. 

Kami buat tak tahu hanya pegi ke pantai yang lebih jauh tetapi bila hala balik boleh dengar bunyi bising keluang dari jauh. 

Pengalaman yang manis ke pahit sebab suka juga hidupan liar, tapi suka juga bunyi ombak berderu ke pulau tanpa perancangan. 

Dapat resort berbunyi ombak dengan berdesing dari makhluk menakutkan, bunyi kibaran sayapnya yang meremang bulu roma. Alhamdulillah, aktiviti island hopping dan snorkeling tetap ada:)

Breakfast with salami and eggs. Sarapan dengan salami dan telur

Makeover outdoor space | Ubah suai kawasan luar

Make over the space outside to sit comfortably.. Just move some furniture and put a small table. Hope it will be a place for everyone to sit, to have the outside air. 

Then come inside fixed breakfast with eggs. Last week we had steamed eggs. This week we had soft boiled eggs like the European had, that's how I remembered long time ago when I was there for an oil and gas exhibition. 

Since I bought a lot of cucumber and celery, I kept it in the freezer. I just blended with cherry tomatoes together for a refreshing juice drink  So refreshed it turns up to be.

Mengubah suai di bahagian luar sedikit supaya ada tempat duduk. Cuma ubah perabut dan letak meja kecil. Harap tempat ini menjadi tempat digemari semua untuk menikmati angin luar

Lepas mengubah sedikit di luar, masuk sediakan sarapan. Terlalu ringkas kerana hanya merebus telur. Dua minggu lepas kukus telur, Kali ni rebus separuh masak seperti orang barat makan seperti mana saya dihidangi, seingat saya semasa menghadiri exhibition oil and gas disana. 

Memang terbeli banyak timun dan celery, yang disejuk beku didalam peti ais. Lalu saya buat jus, dikisar dan di campur dengan tomato ceri. Alhamdulillah Jusnya sangat menyegarkan.

Was intrigued to have proper asian fried meal with chilli paste. Terdetik hendak menjamah masakan asia goreng-goreng dengan sambal

Sambal petai dengan telur rebus lagi sedap

I set to give efforts in the afternoon as to prepare something different. I tried to buy brocolli or cauliflower but they were not available. So, I grounded carrots to look like rice. 

I fried the carrots with  garlic butter. More or less like nasi lemak. Also cooked sambal petai to go with the food. 

Now I'm thinking to have lowcarb dinner but no idea how it's like. I got inspiring by menu with cauliflower as it looks like rice. 

As for soup, I  boiled garlic and carrots with roasted seaweed. That's it of the journey vege meal for awhile :)

Saya merajinkan diri untuk menyediakan sesuatu yang lain. Saya cuba beli brokoli atau bunga kobis tetapi tiada dijual. 

Saya kisarkan lobak merah, nampak seakan nasi. Saya goreng dengan mentega bawang putih.

Lebih kurang macam nasi lemak. Masak pula sambal petai untuk makan bersama. Sekarang saya terfikir rendah karbo untuk makan malam pula.

Terinspirasi  dengan bunga kobis kerana bila dipecahkan nampak macam nasi. 

Untuk sup tu, rebus bawang putih, lobak merah dan letak seaweed yang telah dipanggang sememang ada rasa sedikit. 

Itu je perjalanan hidangan sayur untuk tengahari buat sementara ini :) 

Masih memikir Rabu menyepu hehe..

Picnic at Taman Bandaran Kelana Jaya

Lunch time was approaching. Masa makan tengahari hampir tiba

 Thinking of where to have it since we able to go out (no more MCO but still under SOP). Fikir tentang di mana untuk menikmati makan tengahari dah boleh keluar jauhkan. 

Few lakes existed here. Breathtaking view. 

Berberapa tasik wujud di sini. Permandangan yang mempersonakan

As we are no longer on MCO, I have doubts on whether to have picinic out or to cook just infront of the house at least outside. Since we were lazy on a Saturday morning, I ordered food first then let others in our household to decide. Seems they were excited to have lunch outside. That's the excitements that I expected and hoped for. 

I thought I was the one  to make plan, set the items, like a lone ranger, but no; Not at all, everyone eagerly anticipated, even abang knew already and got ready earlier. 

Arrived at the park, around 12 noon, saw one or two people were fishing, a couple with a baby cart enjoying the scenery. 

We chose a place near the playground and in front of lake. It was cooler spot as it is near the water and surrounded by the bamboo plants. 

Loved the ambience. Looking forward to next picnic if time permits. How about camping next time.  How did you spent your weekend? 

Tacos Tuesday ❤️

Dah tak lagi MCO tapi masih SOP, saya sangsi samada nak masak depan rumah ke atau nak keluar berkelah di luar. Tapi nak juga bersantai bermalasan di pagi sabtu, saya buat pesanan makanan, sedia apa yang asas ja. Biar yang lain lah yang buat keputusan. Nampak semua teruja nak makan kat luar, keluar dalam ertikata bukan kat kedai atau restoran lagi, kat open air je dulu. Kegirangan yang saya bayangkan dan harapkan itu menjadi nyata. 

Ingatkan saya yang solo macam lone ranger yang duk buat plan bagai, tau tau setiap individu mengambil bahagian, abang yang terawal siap. 

Sampai di sana dalam pukul 12 tengahari macam tu, nampak satu atau dua orang sedang memancing, ada sepasang ibubapa duduk dengan baby dalam stroller menikmati keindahan alam.

Kami pilih tempat dekat dengan tasik dan berdekatan dengan taman permainan. Tempatnya sejuk sebab dekat dengan air dan bersebelahan dengan pokok pokok buluh.

Suka suasana kehijauan. Tak sabar nak berpiknik lagi, InshaAllah kalau ada masa dan tenaga. Mungkin berkhemah pula. Apa aktiviti hujung minggu kalian? Jom share.

Spring cleaning the ration's drawer, saw one last packet of  Campbell mushroom soup |

Mengemas laci simpan makanan, ternampak sup cendawan Campbell

Make the soup powder as flavour to the porridge |

Ambil serbuk cendawan sebagai perasa bubur

Simple breakfast, grain porridge, fruit cakes with yogurt, salad with half sliced of protein |

Sarapan ringkas,  bubur bijirin, kek buah dengan yogurt, salad dan separuh potongan protin 

Since I used to eat edamame at early morning, I tried to put petai for breakie. The taste of instant mushroom powder in the porridge was really good, the food technology in the instant food made you crave for more. Behind the purpose of the creation is to make customer to come for more. I saw in the documentary in Astro TV about food. That's what I saw and understand. 

Instant food not good taken as often but taking it makes the body not at sudden surprise and our body become tougher hehe.. 

It was a nice meal that morning, I was kind of lenient to myself. Having everything in one plate like being served during flight. Satisfied by serving little bit in one go. Love the concept like that. It won't be the same however, as the served done by the same person, seems she needs to sit longer but the meal finished fast and furious hehe.. Okay dokay

Saya biasa makan edamame diawal pagi, oleh itu saya cuba untuk mengunakan petai sebagai sarapan pula. Rasa perisa sup cendawan dalam bubur bijirin amat sedap sekali. Teknologi makanan didalam makanan segera membuatkan kita 'ketagih' mahu makan lagi. Begitulah disebalik ciptaan ini adalah supaya kita sentiasa mahu membelinya. Pernah saya tonton didalam satu rancangan dokumentari di TV Astro berkenaan makanan sebegini. Itulah yang saya lihat dan fahami. 

Makanan segera tak elok ambil selalu tetapi pengambilannya secara sesekali supaya tubuh tidak terkejut dan menjadi lasak  hehe.. 

Sedap sarapan pada pagi itu Alhamdulillah. Saya bersikap lembut diri sendiri. Hidangan 'semua dalam satu pinggan' rasa macam makan dalam pesawat lah pulak. Semuanya disajikan 'sedikit sedikit' sekali harung. Suka konsep begini. Tetapi taklah sama pasal yang melayan dan memakan tu orang yang sama kan.. Macam nak duduk lama, tapi makanan habis sekelip mata.. hehe, Oki doki.

Silvered leaf Monkey at Melawati Hill | Monyet Lutung di Bukit Melawati

At twillight, adik asked to call the police to rescue the monkey. 

 Di senja, adik minta panggil polis untuk menyelamat monyet lutung

As always, we were asked to go out or wanted to go out. Even the verses recitation said stay home, we forced ourself, yet sometime excited float to explore.

We headed to the north west of the Selangor state. At late we arrived, managed to capture few monkeys photos. 

We encountered the species by the roadside, not just saw, but even dared to go near. What kind of energy was that, in the darkness and also with kids.

Twillight is the time for many 'beings' start roaming around at this hour, some call it zombie, some call it Adams family :0

Not sure I realised that, but was there to observed another monkey 'walking' on the electric line. Adik concerned with safety, said the monkey wanted to go down, get help from the police. (used to call firefighter to help a cat). 

When we were in the car adik acted weird, she went to back chair from the middle seat and stood there for so long. and we prayed for protection because twillight time is not suitable for kids or anyone to be outdoors due to many factors eg  tiredness. Grateful everything was fine a few minutes. 

So from there I determined not bring young kids to the place like that and stay home before the sun went down but rise before the sun.

Seperti biasa, kami diajak keluar ataupun mahu keluar. Walaupun kalimah berkumandang supaya duduk dirumah, kami paksakan diri, malah kami tetap teruja untuk menjelajah. 

Kami menuju ke barat laut negeri Selangor dan tiba agak lewat, dan sempat mengambil gambar monyet berkeliaran. 

Kami terserempak dengan spesies tersebut ditepi jalan. Bukan saja perhati malah berani pergi dekat dekat lagi. Tenaga apakah ini berani walaupun didalam gelap dan dengan kanak-kanak bersama. 

Waktu senjakala ni banyak 'mahluk' keluar bertandang. Ada yang orang panggil zombie, ada pulak yang namanya Adams family :0

Perasan atau tak, lalu terserempak pulak dengan seekor monyet yang berjalan atas kabel eletrik di depan masjid. Adik yang prihatin keselamatan monyet tu suruh panggil polis untuk minta bantuan. (biasa panggil bomba selematkan kucing) 

Dalam perjalanan pulang dikereta, adik buat perangai pelik. Dari duduk di tengah, dia pindah kebelakang sorang sorang dia dan buat hal. Kami jenuh baca ayat ayat suci sepanjang perjalanan pulang. Memang tak berapa sesuailah bawa kanak kanak atau sesiapapun berjalan waktu senja ni. Alhamdulillah semua kembali baik. Berbagai faktor la juga, lapar atau letih.

Lepas dari kejadian hari tu, saya berazam untuk tak bawak kanak kanak ketempat macam ni waktu senja; Duduk rumah sebelum matahari jatuh dan bangun lebih cepat darinya.
