Its not easy to put a smile on up there like always | Tak mudah nak letak senyuman di atas seperti sediakala

Whenever reality life strike | Apabila kehidupan sebenar berlaku


Everything that happened is real life. Hard to explain. Of course I have to go thru, while writing this, got a good news, a contrast from the bad news which was received earlier. But now, I received a good news again. Just a little bit of good news only. Nonetheless, every little good news we gratefully cherished.


Telling, walking, typing are  part of me, so  I realised I didn't film any video for a couple of days and didn't type any sentence long like today.  


I had omelette on one of those days. I missed spreading the eggs on a bread; So, I thought of cutting the cucumber to slices and laying the scrambled eggs on. 


I tried testing the cucumber with toppings by tilting cucumber with toppings, they were stable. Didnt spill or fall, good finger food for party. Life goes on right, think good like gathering is already a pleasure, that's healthy, Godwill. And yes, I had a slice of Swiss Roll cake also.

Setiap yang berlaku adalah benar. Sukar untuk menerangkan. Mestilah saya lalui jua, semasa menaip blog ini, saya telah menerima berita baik. Sebelum ini sedih. Sekarang berita gembira. Sikit sahaja cerita gembira, rasa dunia kita yang punya..SubhanaAllah. 


Bercerita, berjalan, menaip memang sebahagian dari saya. Tersedar yang saya lama tidak buat video dan tak menaip ayat-ayar panjang seperti hari ini.


Saya masak dan makan omellete atau telur dadar pada hari-hari yang lepas. Rindu pula nak letak atas roti. Saya potong timun nipis sedang-sedang, saya bubuh telur atasnya. 


Cuba juga  periksa telur yang terletak tu elok ataupun mudah jatuh, dengan menggoyangkannya, pusing kiri kanan. Stabil dan sesuai untuk majlis makan jemput-jemput macam ni. Kehidupan diteruskan kan, fikir yang gembira, majlis berkumpul ramai, itu pun sudah menceriakan, itupun amalan sihat InshaAllah. Dan ya, saya makan kek gulung juga. Sepotong :).

Cabbage Roll with curry puff fillings | Kobis gulung dengan inti karipap

Missing of pastry food. | Rindu makanan pastri. 


Eat the fillings without crust. | Makan inti tanpa kulit pastri.


I've been thinking of curry puff or chicken pie. Since I take vege more so, I rolled minced chicken with carrots and black pepper in cabbage leaf.


Fitst off, prepared the fillings which consists minced chicken, onion and carrots. Cooked it and put aside.


Then steamed the cabbage, let it soft for easy rolling. Once cooked, bring it out and lay flat. Put the cooked minced chicken  on it at the edge. Roll the cabbage like spring roll. That's it, done to eat. Hang on, since all the salad is finished, I cut orange, dates and figs to eat with. 


The taste of the rolls were not like pastry roll but the mind set it as healthy taste so it was nutritious and delicious:)

Saya memikirkan samada untuk makan karipap atau pai ayam. Oleh sebab saya memakan sayur sayuran, saya mengulung inti karipap daripada ayam, lada dan lobak merah dengan daun kobis.


Mula mula, saya sediakan inti karipap yang terdiri daripada daging ayam cincang, bawang dadu dan lobak merah. Saya masak dan simpan. 


Kemudian saya kukus daun kobis untuk melembutkannya supaya mudah untuk digulung. Apabila sudah masak, saya keluarkannya dan letak rata. Kemudian letakkan inti karipap disatu hujung daun kobis itu dan gulungkan macam buat popia. Macam itulah caranya....Bila  Stok salad telah habis. Jadi saya pun memotong buah oren, kurma dan buh tin kering untuk dimakan bersama. 


Rasanya taklah seperti pastri gulung tapi tetapkan minda yang ia rasa untuk kesihatan, maka rasanya sedap dan berkhasiat :)

Pepper chicken salad | Ayam lada hitam bersalad

Normally tumeric coating. | Biasa dilumur kunyit. 


At the evening I sliced chicken breast. |  Aktiviti memotong dada ayam di waktu petang. 


Full of effort I must say, as I wanted to avoid having chicken nuggets and go for the real food instead, or chicken at its original form. 


I might not have much time in the morning to defrost solid thick meat, so I cut it thinly and kept in the freezer.  


The next day, I took it out, defrosted it at no time. Slightly coated the cut chickens with pepper and soy sauce, sauteed them quickly til they're fully cooked.  


Laid them on the plate by the little green salad leaves, dried cranberries and cut oranges. Coffee off course. Fulfilled the human simple needs:)

Berusaha jugalah saya nak masak ayam dari asal dan bukan nugget. 


Saya tak berapa ada masa pagi-pagi kalau nak tunggu daging ayam yang tebal dinyahbekukan. Jadi, saya pun potong nipis dan simpan dalam peti ais.


Keesokan hari saya keluarkan, sekejap ja dia dah dinyahbeku. Lumur serbuk lada & kicap ala kadar, tumis goreng sampai ia masak.


Hidang atas pinggan tepi daun salad hijau, buah kranberi kering dan potongan oren. Semestinya kopi pun ada. Bolehla memenuhi keperluan penting manusia:)

Pumpkin - pan fry with tortilla | Labu goreng dengan roti tortilla

Something sweet from pumpkin for breakfast. | Yang manis manis labu untuk sarapan. 


Carbo intake day. | hari yang ada carbo. 


Grateful for another day. Been seeing here and there about pumpkin ideas for dessert or breakfast. Saw it at the online shop, hit it to buy one. 


In the morning I was kind of blur on what to cook. But I went on with cutting first. Then fried instead of roast them in the oven. I pour a lil' kechup and herbs, that made it taste so good. 


Quick fix with tortilla, quite fillings for real hungry tummy coz the night before I only had soup. 


Great breakfast with sauteed pumpkin and tortilla with plain water, just started drinking water in the morning :)

Alhamdulillah untuk hari yang baru. Nampak hidangan labu sana sini untuk pencuci mulut atau sarapan. Bila ternampak ja labu di kedai talian, terus klik dan beli satu. 


Tiba pagi hari dah buntu tak tahu nak masak apa pula. Teruskan dengan memotong dulu. Lepas tu goreng walaupun panggang dalam ketuhar lebih sihat. 


Cepat-cepat saji dengan tortilla wraps tu, kenyang la lagi-lagi perut lapar sebab malam semalam tu cuma makan sup. 


Sarapan sedap dengan tumis bahan utama iaitu labu tambah  tortilla wraps dan air masak, baru mula minum air masa sarapan :)

Nasi Kandar / Mixed rice Picnic | Piknik Nasi Kandar

Excited waiting food and watching robot waiter sending food. | Teruja menunggu makanan dan melihat pelayan robot menghantar makanan.


Searching a place by the football field for picnic spot. | Mencari tempat di tepi padang bola untuk berkelah. 


Suddenly we decided to have nasi, flat bread 'roti canai' from  Nasi Kandar shop. We went out straight to the shop, I used to call them to prepare and then they sent to the car when ready. I didn't make the call earler coz  I was enjoying the ride.


Arrived and called, waited for 15 mins or so then the food was ready. While waiting I saw the restaurant is using a robot waiter for sending food, wow! that's a step ahead to keep real human distancing. Impressive. 


Got the food and got the cut fruits from the opposite shop. To enlighten up the day, I ordered some orange juice, as the ones from the shop one are always yummy. 


We drove around the football field first, the footballers there are foreign people, looking at the beautiful scene one look was like we were in a different country. There are many universities and colleges around there, and a lot of international students which explained this phenomena. 


We ended up at the beautiful lake, saw a kingfisher, a flying crane, and some which I'm not sure the name. Adik finished eating first, so she ran behind us. 


It was an amazing evening filming the beautiful scenery but Adik said, "you missed capturing me while I'm flying like a butterfly" .

Tiba tiba buat keputusan nak makan nasi, roti canai dari restoran Nasi Kandar. Kami keluar terus ke kedai makan. Biasa saya akan telefon awal dan mereka sediakan, bila sampai mereka akan hantar bungkusan makanan ke kereta. Saya tak buat pula panggilan kali ini, kerana terlalu menikmati berada dalam perjalanan. 


Setibanya di kedai baru call, tunggu 15 minit lebih, makanan sampai. Sementara menunggu tu, ternampak pelayan robot menghantar makanan. Wah! Ini satu peningkatan menjaga jarak antara manusia. Menarik. 


Dapat makanan dan dapat buah potong dari kedai seberang. Untuk menceriakan hari, saya pesan jus buah oren, dari restoran biasanya lebih sedap kan. 


Pandu sekeliling padang bola dulu, pemain pun warga asing, permandangan indah, sekali pandang bagai di negara lain. Di tempat ini ada banyak universiti dan kolej, sebab tu ramai pelajar dari negara lain. 


Kami berakhir di tasik yang permai, nampak burung Raja Udang, Bangau terbang, ada beberapa yang lain tak tahu pulak namanya. Adik habis makan dulu, dan terus berlari di belakang kami. 


Memang petang yang indah dan menakjubkan SubhanAllah, sambil dapat ambil video permandangan tapi Adik cakap, "tertinggal tangkap gambar atau video dia tengah terbang macam rama-rama".

Gado-gado Salad with Peanut Sauce | Gado-gado berkuah Kacang.

Egg's day Salad. | Hari makan telur dengan Salad. 

Gado-gado salad is not raw but slightly boiled. | Salad gado-gado biasanya direbus.


I bought instant mix peanut sauce but I kept it in the kabinet for awhile. Then I thought of kangkung or water spinach leaves, which I miss having it.

 

So come up with eating kangkung as gado-gado salad, not with shrimp paste means not cuttlefish water spinach (sotong kangkung). 


Gado-gado salad consists of many other vege. since I have searched for beans sprout online but didn't appear, I made simple gado-gado with little ingredients


    1. Water Spinach

    2. Carrots

    3. Beancurds

    4. Egg

Boil all of the above. 

    1.Peanut Sauce (Brahim's) 

   2.Salted Peanuts (Tong's Garden)         for sprinkles. 


Love the spicy a bit as the sauce is pre mix with chillies, anyway it met the tastebud for once awhile for the morning breakfast. 


Perhaps I make the complete gado-gado with beansprouts, cucumber and turnip. Hope you could try my version of gado-gado at home :)

Saya beli kuah kacang pra- campur segera tapi simpan dalam kabinet sekian lama. 

Tiba terasa nak makan pula kangkung, rindu pada ala yong tau foo.


Jadi saya terfikir gado-gado tapi bukan dengan pes udang sebab dah makan sotong kangkung hehe..


Gado-gado ada berbagai bahannya, saya cuba cari taugeh dalam talian tak keluar pula. Oleh itu, saya buat gado-gado ringkas dengan beberapa bahan sahaja. 


    1.Kangkung

    2.Lobak merah

    3.Tauhu lembut

    4.Telur

Semua diatas di rebus. 

    1. Kuah kacang (Brahim) 

    2. Kacang Masin (Tong's Garden             untuk taburan. 


Suka kuah kacang walau sedikit pedas sebab pra campur segera ada sikit campuran cili. Macamana pun memang kena dengan citarasa untuk sesekali makan gado-gado untuk sarapan. 


Mungkin saya buat gado-gado yang sempurna dengan taugeh, timun dan sengkuang. Harap kalian boleh cuba buat gado-gado ekspress ni kat rumah :)

Fish With Shoots of Sweetness | Ikan dengan Pucuk Manis

Sauteed Sweet Leaves | Daun pucuk manis digoreng kering



Grilled fish | Ikan panggang


Having a breakfast with asian leaves that can be planted in the low land suits my tastebud.. It is as special as shoots of cashew nut tree. 


I used to have shoots of sweetness tree in front of the house. My neighbour gave it to me. I planted, it grew but not long enough to provide a harvest, due to not enough light or maybe too much water in the soil, as it  was very near to the water pool. 


I plucked the nice green leaves and threw the yellowish ones away as it was being kept in the fridge for a few days. 


The day before, I have deboned the mackerel fish, and then cut it small fillet and then kept them in the freezer. 


The next morning, I just defrosted the fish and fried the leaves. Then continued to grill the fish. Saw few grapes leftover, placed them on the plate, so as a few dates and dried cranberies. That's for breakfast, almost like  eating clean. Love it.

Menjamah sarapan dengan daun-daun Asia  yang ditanam di atas tanah rendah dan juga menepati citarasa. Istimewa macam pucuk daun pokok biji gajus. 


Saya pernah ada pokok daun pucuk manis di depan rumah. 

Pemberian jiran, saya tanam, membesar elok tetapi jangka hayatnya tak panjang mungkin sebab tak cukup cahaya atau tanahnya banyak air sebab lokasinya ditepi kolam air. 


Hari sebelumnya saya keluarkan tulang dari ikan mackerel lepas tu potong kecil dan simpan balik ke dalam peti ais. 


Di keesokan pagi hari, saya hanya nyahsejukkan ikan. Saya pilih daun pucuk yang hijau segar dan buang yang telah kekuningan. 


Nampak beberapa biji anggur, saya letak atas pinggan, juga buah kurma dan kranberi kering untuk dijadikan sajian sarapan. Alhamdulillah. Hampir makan makanan asal (eat clean). Suker.

Apple Crumble Cheesecake in Vanlife feeling:) by the lake | Wildlife Watching

Went for a walk in conjunction of the National Sport day | Keluar menapak sempena Hari Sukan Negara. 



It was pouring rain | Hujan turun lebat


Eventhough it was pouring rain, we went through the drizzle and chose the canopy walk around here as abang's online participation of the National Sports day event. 


The canopy that has the roof all the way from building to building. I have taken the video while walking along the pedestrian cross over but not attached here yet. 


But what I have attached here is the video filmed about the lake after the walk and after the rain stopped. Perhaps will talk about the canopy walk around town for next time. 


After the walk, we got into the car and drove to a McDonald's drive thru, to get food for dinner. Yet, we had it late evening around 5pm at the lake. 


Since it was tea time hour, I was intrigued to have a tea treat and hot drink, so I had a cup of hot chocolate as I normally don't take caffeine in tea or coffee at the evening. As for food, I opted for a slice of Apple Crumble cheesecake. 


Upon arriving at the lake, we went out on the wet and damp land by the lake and saw a monitor lizard playing 'catch' with another from the same species. 


We gawked at watching the number of other wildlife spotted over there after the rain, including birds and tortoises. Then, everyone were soon tired of standing up, and because of long walk and straight went inside the car for our early dinner. 


I got an idea of vanlife style, having meal in the van. I saw vanlife vloggers on youtube living off in the van but making it nice n' pretty in everything they do, cooking or eating with style  upon the beautiful nature view backdrop landscape. 


So I had the green view, had food and drink, why not enjoy the sweet treat in the vehicle.  Surprised adik didn't even ask to taste it. My mood was not into sweet at sudden, so I ate half, brought home another half, thats the outcome when there's no company to share with. 


The cake was delicious with thick cheese, soft cut apple in the middle and crust at below.  Not so sweet yet tasty. The rest of us ate their usual burgers and drinks. 


That's it of our outing, walk for 5km, a slice of cake with other food, and wildlife watching as the reward, the best one.

Walaupun hujan, kami redah juga untuk menapak dan memilih kanopy walk yang berdekatan di sini. Abang perlu menghabiskan jalanannya untuk penyertaannya untuk Hari Sukan Negara


Kanopy pejalan kaki yang beratap sepanjang kanopi yang berhubung dari bangunan ke bangunan lain. Ada video menapak tetapi tidak letak di sini. 


Tapi saya paparkan video perhentian kami di tasik selepas menapak dan setelah hujan berhenti. Mungkin boleh cerita tentang menapak melalui kanopi kemudian nanti.


Selepas menapak kami masuk kereta dan terus pandu ke McDonald's pandu lalu, beli makanan malam, walaupun baru pukul 5 petang.


Disebabkan waktu minum teh, saya teruja nak pekena kek dan minuman panas, jadi orderla koko panas sebab tak mau ambil kafein dari teh atau kopi di petang hari. Untuk makanan saya pilih kek keju Apple Crumble. 


Setiba di tasik, kami turun atas tanah yang  basah dan lembut. Menyaksi pula biawak air main kejar-kejar dengan rakan se spesisnya. 


Jakun jugak memerhati dan mencari kehidupan liar lain yang banyak lagi keluar lepas hujan, termasuk burung dan kura-kura hingga keletihan berdiri, kan baru menapak tadi, cepat betul masuk dalam kereta untuk makan. 


Saya dapat idea nak rasa gaya kehidupan bercaravan. Mereka yang tinggal dalam van, saya tonton vlogger dalam youtube biasanya mereka buat sesuatu penuh gaya. Jadi saya pun cubala makan dalam van, dah ada permandangan hijau dan makanan kan. Heran adik tak berebut kek pula, mood saya pun turun, makan separuh dan bawa balik lagi separuh. Memang tak berapa lalu lah makan bila tak  berkongsi. 


Sedap keknya, keju yang tebal, epal potong di tengah dan bawahnya tu pastri atau serbuk biskut tu sempurna. Yang lain makan burger dan minuman mereka yang biasa.


Itulah kisah lepak luar kami Alhamdulillah, menapak 5km, sepotong kek serta makanan lain dan menyaksikan haiwan liar sebagai ganjaran, bestkan.

Grilled Brinjal | Terung Panggang

Brinjal and green chilli | Terung dan cili hijau

Simple preparation | Mudah penyediaannya.


I supposely need to go out for groceries shopping yet I hesitated and not sure why. Since the brinjals that I got were too small and not so fresh, I was determined to go out and buy at the shop.


I also wanted to order green capsicum but hit green chillis instead. So I made up my mind to grill it too. 


With a little bit of olive oil and cut the brinjal into two halves as well as chilli too. I left them about 3 minutes on each side until it has softened evenly grilled.


On the plate, I sprinkled cheese and cut black olives for garnish.. And have it all for my breakfast.

Sepatutnya saya sudah mula keluar membeli makanan basah tetapi masih berlengah tak pasti kenapa. Sejak dapat terung bersaiz kecil dan tak sesegar seperti selalu, bertekadla juga untuk keluar beli sendiri di kedai.


Saya nak buat pembelian  capsicum hijau sebenarnya tetapi tertekan cili hijau, jadi saya panggang cili hijau itu sekali.


Dengan sedikit minyak zaitun dan potong kedua dua terung dan juga cili menjadi dua belah. Biar dalam pan 3 minit kedua dua bahagian, lembut elok dan jadi sekata panggangannya.


Di atas pinggan pula, saya tabur keju hancur dan potong buah zaitun hitam untuk hiasan. Dan... makan semua tu sebagai sarapan.

Time flies so fast, week changes to new week just like that. I have no new menu, same and rotates back to the square one. Love the activities as I could maintain the concept or idea of eating from the original form first and green if it not more.

Masa berlalu begitu pantas, seminggu bertukar minggu baru macam tu jer. Menu baharu pun tak dapat muncul, asyik olah berbalik yang sama saja. Sayang aktiviti ini kerana ia membuat saya boleh kekalkan konsep permakanan hijau walaupun tak lebih, tapi makan makanan asal kebanyakkannya.

Pucuk Manis | Shoots of sweetness

Shoots of sweetness are similar taste as baby spinach. 

Rasa pucuk manis seakan rasa baby bayam

Rich of vitamin also thick green and texture made it taste good. | Kaya dengan vitamin juga tekstur yang tebal dan hijau yang pekat memberi rasa yang enak.


I purchased it online and sauteed it the next day. There are various way to cook pucuk manis, boil it in coconut milk or fry it with eggs. I also like it to have it original taste like how I eat some mushroom.


So, I fried it just with garlic and onion. I added few shrimps which were leftover from kids as they don't eat shrimp. It would be even tastier if using dried shrimps.


After it had been cooked, I put in the round cup and turned it upside down. It was quite filling and delicious and... so special.

PS :  important to cook it or boil to remove chemical. The leaves are not meant for eating raw. 


Saya beli atas talian melalui grab dan masak pada keesokkan harinya. Ada berbagai cara untuk menyediakannya; rebus manis, masak lemak dengan santan atau goreng dengan telur hancur. 


Saya suka makan goreng minyak sikit biar layu dan masak dan rasa aslinya macam masak cendawan, sedap rasa dengan tersendirinya.


Jadi saya goreng ia dengan bawang putih dan bawang besar. I campur udang yang disimpan. Jika masak dengan udang kering lagi sedap.


Setelah ia dimasak, saya masuk dalam cawan, pastu terbalikkan atas pinggan dan makan kan takkan lah nak tengok je. SubhanAllah memang sedap dan menyelerakan serta... amat istimewa.

PS : Penting pucuk manis perlu dimasak untuk keluarkan bahan kimia. Ia tidak boleh dimakan mentah sama seperti daun singkong atau pucuk ubi.

Breakfast of the day. | Sarapan untuk hari ini. 

Today's special.|Istimewa hari ini. 


That's what I had for breakfast. Mixed Salad that was bought 3 days ago while avocado was bought a week before.


I was preparing salad while thinking whether to fry soft egg which we called 'bull eyed' egg or just eat salad to gain energy first. 


Since the dried fruit are just in the shelf as I put them in individual jar, its easy to grab and sprinkle them on the salad. (just getting organized) 


Before that I checked out some cherry tomatoes first. Found none but saw an avocado that's not eaten yet. 


Earlier on the avocado was out on room temp for many days and was soft. I decided to keep it first in fridge when I pressed and felt it was ripe but not feeling to eat it that time. 


So I knew it would be blacken or oxidized when I cut it. To avoid dissappointment, I cut it on the table pessimistically, not expecting to able to eat it. 


To my surprise, see how it turned out and it was so fresh and nice green. So I cut it half for me and ate it with salad :) 


Notes:

1 packet of honey salad is RM8. 90

1 pack of 3 avocadoes is RM12. 90

Itulah yang saya nikmati sajian istimewa untuk sarapan hehe.. . Daun salad campur yang dibeli 3 hari lepas dan avokado seminggu sebelum.


Semasa menyediakan terfikir juga untuk menggoreng telur mata yang lembut di atas tu atau makan salad agar dapat mengumpul tenaga. 


Sejak ada buah kering termasuk buah kurma di rak berdekatan, baru je beramalan teratur :) , senang capai tabur atas daun salad. 


Sebelum tu pertama saya periksa buah tomato ceri. Tak jumpa pun tapi ternampak avokado yang tersimpan. 


Avokado tu pada mulanya di letak di luar di dalam bakul selama beberapa hari dan mulai lembut. Saya simpan dalam peti sejuk walaupun dah masak sesuai untuk dimakan. Nak jadikan cerita tak rasa nak makan hari tu pulak. 


Jadi saya tahu ia mungkin menghitam dan beroksida bila dipotong. Untuk mengelakkan kekecewaan, saya potong buah itu dengan pantas di atas meja dan tidak mengharap untuk dapat memakannya.


Terkejut juga, bila lihat betapa masih cantiknya dan segar hijaunya Alhamdulillah. Jadi saya potong separuh untuk saya dan jamah dengan salad :). 


Nota :

Sepaket daun salad campur honey harga RM8.90.

3 biji avokado dalam sepaket berharga RM12.90.

Secret Recipe's Fish | Ikan dari Secret Recipe

Breakfast must go on. | Sarapan mestilah dilalui. 

Simple as it is. | seringkas seadanya. 


Accompanied by coffee, I enjoyed myself by simply making it to pass the neutral mood moment. Night before one kid wanted to eat macaroni cheese and another red sauce pasta. I decided to purchase from a restaurant Secret Recipe and chose Fish and Chips for me.


The fish and chips came with two slice fish, I ate one at dinner, and kept one for morning. 


Cut half for my other half and decorated nicely with vege toppings for me. It was nice with raisins and they stacked together. I tried to tilt up and down it was kind of stable for party food :). 


I saw zebra dove or merbuk bird outside like wanting food, sometimes it made sounds like asking, we were back feeding birds again.

Bertemankan kopi. saya menceriakan diri kononnya kreatif menghiasi sarapan sesambil ketika nuetral mood. Malam sebelumnya seorang anak nakkan cheese makaroni and yang satu lagi nak sos merah. 


Saya buat keputusan untuk membeli dan pilih ikan dan cip kentang untuk saya. 


Ikan dan cip kentang datang dengan dua keping ikan. Saya habiskan satu, tinggal satu disimpan untuk makan pagi. 


Untuk sarapan, saya potong separuh, diberi kepada dear suami. Setengah lagi dihiasi sayur berkismis dan bahan melekat elok pula, Alhamdulillah. Cuba juga terbalikkan separuh jalan, nampak stabil, boleh lah buat makanan majlis :) 


Saya nampak burung merbuk di luar seakan singgah makanan, kadang ia berbunyi macam meminta makanan, kami kembali aktiviti memberi burung makan. 


Itulah kegembiraan yang saya lalui secara kecilan semasa bersarapan, apa pula perkara ringkas yang mengembirakan kalian?

Broccolli with condiments | Brokoli dengan bahan sampingan

Thinking of griling or frying.   Memikirkan nak goreng atau panggang. 

Hoped the inspirations came along while cutting the orange. | Harap dapatlah inspirasi semasa memotong buah oren. 


Cut broccolli and stirred fry it coz  thought frying would be faster. The main food was broccollli, not  fancy eating condiments.  


Opened the freezer found frozen cut salmon from previous steamboat preparation, grab that, then saw, salami that kept it frozen too  because didn't dare to finish it the week it was open due to high sodium. 


Defrosted them and fried them as well together with capsicum that was cut for sticking at the end of the wooden skewered salmon or chicken for picnic. 


Bought a chocolate cake from Mahnaz, and cut it as desserts.


Love the breakfast out of appetizer mix quarter of main plus dessert. All in one, got to have it again :)

Potong brokoli dan goreng sebab rasa ia lebih cepat dari memanggang. Makanan utama ialah brokoli, tak kisah makan dengan apapun. 


Buka peti ais, jumpa potongan  salmon yang lebih daripada persediaan berkelah, capai je lepastu ternampak salami yang sengaja dibekukan sebab kemasinannya tu tak berani nak abiskan minggu bila ntah. 


Nyahbekukan semua dan goreng bercampur capsicum yang dipotong masa buat stimboat. Ya untuk cucuk bahagian akhir di lidi agar ayam atau ikan tak tergelungsur jatuh. 


Beli kek coklat dari Mahnaz, potong kek sebagai pencuci mulut. 


Sukalah sarapan dari sajian pembuka mulut campur suku hidangan utama termasuk manisan. Semua dalam satu, nak makan macam ni lagi :)

Nuggets with mushroom spinach | Nuget bercendawan bayam

First off, cut apple | Mula dengan potong buah epal

It's not ingredient but start cutting it gives spirit booster :)

Bukan bahan tapi semasa memotongnya menggalakkan semangat :)


Not sure how I blog, receiving good or sad news, I just moved to food. Is it called suppression or privacy is in another corner. 


I went on with blog, food and travel, on the side events happening I didn't even mentioned, because some of me are too good to be true and some are too regular to bother. 


Some mornings I received calls to do favour, some I received rewards. Both made me grateful. 


Ok back to my breakfast, adik wanted to have nuggets, so I pan fried some, divided equally between me and others. 


I stirred fry spinach and put it on top of chicken nuggets.  It looked like finger food but fulfillings. I got full with two portion with mixed fruit salad.  


The ingredients were:

Two nuggets

Mixed mayo

Spinach

Mushroom

Salad

Apple


Plus coffee.:)


That's the breakfast I had, not much but satisfying.

Tak pastilah bagaimana memblog ni, menerima berita baik atau sedih, saya berganjak ke makanan. Adakah ini memendam rasa atau simpan di sudut hati peribadi. 


Saya teruskan blog makanan dan jalan-jalan, disamping ada perkara berlaku kerana sebahagian yang terjadi bagai terlalu indah untuk dinyatakan dan setengah tu terlalu biasa nak kisah. 


Ada hari, terima panggil untuk berbakti, ada pagi, menerima rezeki tak disangka-sangka, dua-dua membuat saya bersyukur. 


Ok berbalik ke sarapan, adik mahukan nuget, saya goreng sikit, bahagikan untuk beberapa kepala. 


Juga bayam digoreng dan letak di atas nuget ayam. Nampak macam makanan jejari tapi mengenyangkan. Alhamdulillah, kenyang dengan dua biji nuget dan salad buah campur di tepi.

Itulah sarapan yang pernah dimakan, tak banyak tapi puas hati.

Steamboat for Picnic

Planning for steamboat by Subang Jaya Lake | Rancang berstim bot di tepi tasik Subang Jaya

Prepared pot, stove also soup, cut fish, mushrooms, edamame, chickens etc. 

Sediakan periuk dan dapur juga sup, potongan ikan, cendawan, edamame, ayam etc


By 11 am, everything was ready. Outside still drizzling. We got in the car and drove half way, it was pouring rain.  We saw the sky was bright at east side. We made an u-turn, on the way to  the bright side sky. Suddenly we had second thought, it was not worth to find non rainy spot as the rain is coming. We turned back to our residential area.


Still thinking of where to settle the stove and pot. Stop the car at the front gate, unloaded the items. There we were at the front yard. 


Lit the stove, placed the pot, pour the soup and let the kids chuck the delicious food. Let is soaked and boiled. We faced each other face view and enjoyed the sizzling food in drizzling weather.


The unhappened picnic by the lake but enjoyed almost like one as it was as it still outdoor air.  How did you spend your last weekend!?

Dalam pukul 11 pagi, semua barang berkelah sudah siap. Hujan renyai-renyai di luar. Masuk ke dalam kereta dan bergerak ke barat, separuh jalan hujan turun dengan lebatnya. Nampak langit di belakang lebih cerah, kami buat pusingan-u, menghala ke arah langit yang lebih cerah. Tiba tiba terfikir pula, tak berbaloi mencari tempat tidak hujan sebab walaupun nampak terang tetapi tetap hari hujan. Kami pun pusing ke hala kawasan rumah. 


Masih memikir di manalah nak bentangkan periuk dapur pelbagai ni. Berhenti kereta di depan pagar, keluarkan semua barang berkelah. Ha sampailah kami di laman depan.


Nyalakan api dapur, letak periuk, tuang sup dan biarkan abang adik masukkan makanan sedap di dalam periuk. Biar terendam dan direbus masak. Berdepankan wajah-wajah yang kesayangan dan nikmati makanan panas-panas di dalam cuaca sejuk gedi. 


Itulah perkelahan di tepi tasik yang tidak jadi, tapi SubhanAllah masih nikmati angin luar yang segar. Sekian Terima kasih.

Roasted Cauliflower | Kubis Bunga Panggang

Yummy spiced vege | Sedap sayur berempah

Easy preparation | Penyediaan mudah


Bought groceries via Grab Food, the next day immediately I prepared the cauliflower. If I hesitate, it will be rotten day by day. Normally, I only eat cauliflower in Tom Yum soup or stirred fried mix vege for lunch. 


I had doubt to put spices as some vege could choke me up, as normally the juice from vege spread the spices to the throat not at mouth. 


Just discovered the cauliflower tasted well for breakfast with any sides. I ate with fish and some fruits. Since we had just done groceries, we had the breakfast like the king has it hehe... can right? 


Even to do grocery shopping, I will make sure that Balance Sheet is balanced first that I would do grocery shopping.. If not I will dig and dig whatever in the kitchen first. Especially fresh produce items


Last time I used to have daun raja as ulam from own grown but now I saw only kesum and pegaga are still growing in the garden. Perhaps I would eat that next, eventhough the credited come fast hehe.. (positive right).


Wrap up of today, maybe I'll have Fajitas but with a big Salad leaf next, like Miang Kham, Thai food. 


Ingredients for roasting were:

Cauliflowers chopped

Pepper

Parmesan cheese

Paprika

Olive Oil

Beli kobis bunga itu melalui Grab Food. Keesokkan hari terus sediakannya untuk dibakar dalam oven. Kalau berlengah, ia akan mula memburuk hari demi hari, kerana selalunya ia akan digunakan dalam sup tomyam atau sayur campur goreng.


Mulanya teragak agak juga nak tambahkan rempah ratus sebab sesetengah sayuran itu akan mengeluarkan jus yang meninggalkan rasa pedas ditekak dan tidak dimulut. 


Baru tahu yang bunga kobis sesuai dimasak dengan rempah ratus. Dan dimakan dengan apa-apa makanan sampingan, saya makan dengan ikan dan buah buahan. Ya la, baru membeli barang dapur, bolehlah bersarapan ala raja hehe, boleh kan?


Walau nak membeli barang dapur pun, saya pastikan Balance Sheet seimbang dulu. Barulah gagah membeli, jika tidak mengorek apa yang ada di dalam dapur dulu. Terutama barangan mentah. 


Dulu pernah, makan daun ulam raja dari tanaman sendiri tetapi sekarang hanya nampak kesum dan pegaga ja yang ada ditaman. Mungkin nanti makan ulaman tu je walaupun dikredit masuk(earning) laju hehe (positif kan).


Itulah litupannya hari ini, barangkali buat Fajitas dengan daun salad besar untuk balut inti pula bagai makanan Thai, Miang Kham.

Kraft Cheese | Keju Kraft

Orange, apple, dried apricot and figs | Oren, epal, apricot kering dan buah tin

Still searched for dairy or some fish or eggs | Masih mencari bahan tenusu, ikan atau telur


I almost surrendered from having the salad and grab two slices of bread instead. Yet, I remembered some said that if salad filled one small saucer, it would be enough. 


So I tried to fill the small plate first. The salad could not last even in the fridge, so it's better to fix it to something and consume. 


These salad consisted of rocket leaves that I like. I had no idea what else to make it filling but just add one ingredient and added another e.g. cut oranges, apples, figs etc. Saw that it now had become full plate to my eyes, it's done. Still thought of something was missing like boiled eggs or sardine. So, I added half slice of cheese which is from Kraft. 


Coffee was ready, squeeze few drops of dressing. It was fixed as breakfast :) What did you have for breakfast this morning?


Exhale, take time to relax.

Hampir hendak menyerah dan  capai dua keping roti saja. Tapi teringat ada yang menyatakan kalau sayur salad yang memenuhi pinggan kecil mampu mengenyangkan. 


Jadi saya cuba penuhi pinggan kecil tu dulu. Lagi pun daun tak tahan lama dalam peti sejuk, lebih baik buat je sesuatu yang dapat dijamah. Lagipun salad ada salad rocket yang saya suka sebab ada kelatnya.


Tak tahu sangat nak buat salad yang mengenyangkan, cuma letak satu bahan dan tambah sebahan lagi  contoh bubuh potongan buah oren, epal, apricot etc. Dah nampak penuh di mata. Masih terfikir tentang protin seperti telur rebus atau sardin. Akhirnya saya letak separuh keping keju Kraft. 


Kopi pun dah siap, picit botol dressing beberapa kali, ha.. jadila hidangan sarapan :) Apa sarapan kalian hari ini? 


Lepas nafas, dan masa untuk berehat.

Mini Quiche | Mini Tat Berlauk / Bersayur

The day of eating eggs's turn | Hari untuk menikmati telur telah tiba

Intrigued to eat something like omelet | Tercetus hendak menikmati ala telur dadar


Just realised that there were frozen pie crust in the freezer. Took them out and let them defrost.  


The rotation of egg menu; I combined two eggs in the mini quiche. There were only five frozen crusts. I planned to make oats, butter and honey crust as I figured 5 crusts were not enough for tummy and the mixture would left a lot as the size crust was small. 


Quiche mix and ingredients

    1. Two eggs

    2. Quarter of Capsicum diced

    3. One of tomatoes diced

    4. Quarter can of Ideal milk as              we don't have whip cream,                Less  is better as I made,                      turned  out watery. 

    5.  2 inch of Cheese

    6.  Mushroom sliced

    7. Shrimps as I had from kids                leftover they don't eat shrimps


All vege or cheese were cut into small cube size.  Milk and eggs were mixed together and poured into individual crust cup. 


Baked in the oven 20 minutes at 180°C. Amazing and quite filling food.

Terperasan yang kelonsong pastri sejuk beku ada di dalam peti ais. Keluarkan dan biar ia nyahbeku.


Pusingan untuk makan telur telah tiba, ingin guna dua biji telur untuk sajian kali ini, iaitu quiche mini.


Ada pastri cuma 5 biji, saya rancang, buat kelongsong tambahan iatu dengan oats, mentega dan madu.


Campuran Quiche dan bahannya:

 1. 2 biji telur

 2. Suku capsicum didadu

 3. Sebiji tomato didadu

 4. Suku tin susu ideal

 5. 2 inci keju 

 6. Cendawan.

 7.Lebih udang dari abang adik     yang   disejukbekukan


Dapat rasa yang 5 pastri tak mencukupi untuk mengenyangkan perut dan campuran telur dan susu juga berlebihan, tiada pastri untuk ditakung pula. Kasihan hehe. 😋


Semua sayuran dipotong dadu. Susu dan telur dicampur dan dituang di dalam setiap pastri. 


Bakar dalam ketuhar bersuhu 180°C selama 20 minit. MashaAllah. Makanan yang sedap dan mengenyangkan. 


Itulah jurnal makan dengan penyediaan cara cuba dan ada silapnya untuk hari ini. :)

Bought Muesli Kellogs for rainy days | Beli Kellog's Muesli untuk hari yang tak berkesempatan

Tried to introduce the cereal to abang adik too | Cuba perkenalkan bijirin untuk abanga dik juga


There are mornings, I just like to have coffee and something easy and quick. I tried muesli, muesli are mixed cereal with raisins nut or fruits. I was not sure what type of muesli that I bought online because I took out the box for recycle. 


I could see it consisted roasted oats and cornflakes plus the extra condiments, dried coconut flakes or raisin with nuts. 


Anything that is in original form is good. The kids however, preferred the processed cereal like honey star which I tried to avoid purchase it often. Recently they learned eating coating flakes with raisins. Time to buy the original, plain soon. 


I put half a bowl of muesli and pour milk. It is good to eat immediately rather than let it soften. 


It is handy in a bowl, so I took it out at the front corridor or veranda not sure what its called. I sat and stared at the electric line, saw a white dove, i zoomed in and out. And at the gate wall had a furry predator was siiting on waiting for the bird or eating the bird food, not sure. Lovely morning.

Ada hari-hari nak minum kopi dan makanan cepat dan mudah dalam penyediaan. Saya cuba muesli, muesli yang sudah di campur kekacang dan kismis. Saya pun tak perasan muesli jenis buah atau kekacang yang saya beli online ni, sebab kotaknya telah dikeluarkan untuk kitar semula. 


Bolehla nampak ia terdiri dari oats panggang dan empingan jagung termasuk bahan penyedap, kelapa kering atau kismis dengan kekacang.


Bijirin yang terdiri dari keadaan asalnya adalah bagus. Macamanapun budak-budak gemar bijirin yang diproses seperti honey star yang mana saya cuba elakkan beli selalu.  Baru belajar makan yang empingan jagung bersalut, dengannkismis, lama-lama beli yang kosong. 


Saya masukkan muesli separuh mangkuk dan tuang susu. Sedap makan segera sebelum ianya menjadi lembut. 


Terasa mobil pula bila bijirin dalam mangkuk senang nak ubah tempat, saya terus ke depan luar rumah, di veranda ke koridor, kecil je tempatnya tak pasti nak panggil apa. Duduk dan perhati atas wayar elektrik tu ternampak seekor burung merpati putih. Saya pun zoom dekat. Dan di atas tembok pagar tu ada pemangsa berbulu segak sedang duduk menunggu burung atau nak makan makanan burung, tak pasti. Alhamdulillah pagi yang indah.

Earlier on I wanted to go for a walk to the shop and buy steak, wanted to teach kids how to grill meat. And teach them how to eat steak with real steak knives.


Holiday mood conquered laziness or vice versa. Stayed home til the last day we made our way to have lunch by the lake again.


We headed up towards the central Klang Valley. Stop and took exit before the arch of welcoming us to the Federal Territory that is our capital city, Kuala Lumpur.


Arrived there, saw few folks were fishing, families relaxing and finishing eating not sure eating or just sitting but saw kids played at the playground.


We opened the table, set infront of the lake by the city. Nature in the city we were. Love the sounds of manmade and the nature. Harmonily embrace the smell, sounds and the views, lively and alive.

Pada mulanya saya berangan angan untuk berjalan kaki ke pasaraya untuk membeli daging stik. Mahu ajar abang dan adik macamana nak memasak stik, cara makan stik dan juga cara menggunakan pisau stik.


Hati perasaan percutian telah menakluki kemalasan ke terbalik kot. Hanya duduk dirumah sahaja hingga hari akhir barulah buat keputusan untuk ke tasik berdekatan untuk makan tengahari.


Kami menuju kearah pusat tengah Lembah Kelang. Berhenti lalu masuk laluan keluar sebelum jumpa dengan pintu gerbang yang menyambut datang ke Wilayah Persekutuan itu, iaitu laluan ke ibunegara, bandaraya Kuala Lumpur.


Sampai disana, ternampak ada beberapa orang yang sedang memancing, ada juga keluarga yang sedang berehat selepas habis makan tengahari, rasanya. Dari jauh juga nampak kanak kanak yang gembira bermain ditaman permainan.


Kami buka meja yang baru dibeli,  betul betul berhadapan tasik didalam kota itu. Keindahan alam semulajadi ditengah kota yang kami diami ini. Suka dengan bunyi bunyian dari ragam manusia serta dari alam semulajadi itu sendiri. Suasana harmoni yang mendakapi rasa, bunyi dan permandangan itu amat meriah dan hidup.
