Curry Leaves Prawn Soup | Carbonara Pasta | CookBook | Souping Book |Homegrown



Searching for inspiration from a Cook Book

Mencari inspirasi dari Buku Memasak

Fall for soupy food and solid drink like smoothies /

Terjebak dengan makanan bersup atau minuman pekat ala smoothies


So flip pages of cook book. While flipping the pages, I remember the steamed pumpkins in the fridge and the cooked oats that was well kept. 


Fused them together in the blender; Hopefully it will become creamy. 


Went out to get some curry leaves. The leaves will be sautee and heat up together in the fused chilled soupy. 


Love being outside while picking the curry leaves. Ok, while sauteeing, garlics were added together. Making soup is kind of special so I sauteed it with coconut oil. 


Sauteed in one pot, yet the aroma spread. Two prawns added in, to add flavour. 


Pour blended oats and pumpkins, sparked my appetite when seeing pieces of curry leave floated on the surface. 


Already hot and cooked, ready to eat. Eat with toast. Actually can eat soup only that is filling as the oats and pumpkins are complex carbo.  Btw kids ate Carbonara. Signing off for today's food diary.:))

Jadi menyelak muka surat ke sehelai sehelai. Semasa menyelak tu, teringat labu dan oats yang telah di masak dan di simpan dalam peti sejuk.


Campur dua bahan ni, lumatkan dalam mesin, harap jadilah berkrim.


Keluar petik daun kari. Daun kari untuk ditumis dan panaskan sup yang sejuk tu.


Suka berada di luar semasa mengait daun kari. Ok dengan bawang putih di tumis sekali. Macam istimewa pula sup ni, jadi tumisnya dengan minyak kelapa. 


Tumis setempat, aroma merebak.  Ada udang dua ekor  dimasukkan sekali penambah rasa.


Tuang oats dan labu tadi, mengamit selera dengan daun kari yang tumis tu.


Dah panas dan dah masak, siap untuk di makan. Makan dengan roti bakar, sebenarnya makan begitu sahaja sudah mengenyangkan kerana oats kan karbo. Opps budak² makan Carbonara. Ok Menandatangani untuk mengakhiri diari makanan hari ini. :))

Sausage ala Famous cafe Dave's Deli | Hidangan Sosej Ala Dave's Deli | Squirrel at the window

Adik prefers chicken rice, so made butter rice kind of similar/ Adik gemar nasi ayam, jadi buat nasi mentega macam seakan. 

While preparing, we saw Squirrel came to visit at the window / Semasa menyediakan hidangan, ternampak Tupai datang bertandang di tingkap. 


Yellow rice is kind of special with chicken sausage. 'Outing feeling' meal or weekend serving in a lazying fashion. Homemade, thus some efforts required first to feel relaxed at the end.


Pan fried sausages, steamed rice with butter, cooked mushroom sauce, baked vege, are inspired by dishes at Dave Deli restaurant


At Dave Deli, it serves sausage footlong with mashed potato or fries. But for at home we did butter rice instead


By the way, I'm surprised to see a squirrel climbed at the grill. It's been sometime, and we hardly see any squirrel coming in close, not sure whether we're too busy to realise or they just don't appear.

Nasi kuning jadi istimewa bila di saji dengan sosej ayam. Hidangan makan seperti di luar pada hari minggu dengan gaya bermalasan. Buat sendiri ni kenalah bertenaga mengendali hingga selesai barulah rehat. 


Masak sosej dalam pan, kukus nasi dengan mentega, masak sos mushroom, panggang sayur dalam ovenInspirasi dari Restoran Dave Deli. 


Di Dave Deli, ia menyajikan sosej jenis sekaki panjang bersama ubi lenyek atau ubi goreng. Kat rumah kami buat nasi mentega jer. 


Tula, terkejut pula ternampak tupai panjat besi tingkap. Dah lama tak nampak tupai, samada kami tak 'dan' nak perhati kat luar atau mereka ni selalu menyembunyikan diri. 


Itu jer, cerita dari rumah, makan tengahari dan tetamu comel🐿️. Terima kasih kerana menonton dan membaca. Sangat menghargai kehadiran awak semua🥰

Savoury Oats Porridge | Bubur Oat Berlauk | Plants Arrangement | Gubah Pokok

Oats porridge with some condiments not sweet toppings /
Bubur Oats  berlauk, bukan taburan buah manisan

Before breakfast, did some plants arrangement in small pot/
Sebelum sarapan buat gubahan pokok dalam pasu kecil


Before month of Ramadan, having desire to do planting and tried sell in Shopee. Came out the idea to arrange the plants so to have some differences.

In the video not so detailed shown but the key is to place the bigger plants at top. Move to medium size right after and go on with small size. Voila! that's the result. Beauty is on the eyes of the beholder. :)

Back to oats porridge, I boiled five tbs of oats with sautee ingredients that were onions, shallots, ginger, and let it soft.

Pan fried mushroom, fried anchovies, boiled pumpkins and cut it to bite size.. Scooped in the cooked oats in a bowl, laid the saute condiments, splashed in some olive oil or sesame oil.

Ready to have it for breakfast. Thanks for reading today's coverage of eating and a sudden activities :)

Sebelum bulan puasa tu, teringin juga bercucuk tanam dan cuba jual di Shopee. Terkeluarlah idea untuk gubah tanaman supaya ada kelainan.

Dalam video tidaklah teliti, cuma kuncinya, letak pokok besar di belakang, makin ke depan pokok saiz sederhana, makin ke bawah terus pokok kecil. Voila! jadi la, kecantikan tu bergantung kepada yang empunya diri kan :)

Berbalik kepada bubur oats berlauk tu saya tanak atau rebus dalam periuk dengan bahan tumisan, bawang² halia, bersama lima sudu oats, biar sampai kembang dan lembut.

Goreng cendawan, goreng ikan bilis, labu direbus dan dipotong. Ceduk bubur ke dalam mangkuk, letak tumisan tadi, tuang sikit minyak olive atau minyak bijan. 

Siap menjamah untuk sarapan. Terima kasih kerana sudi membaca liputan sejenak, makan, aktiviti menanam secara tetiba :))

Strawberry Sando Homemade | Pencuci Mulut Stoberi | Family Mart Inspiration

Strawberry Sandwich or Sando Sandwich in Japanese | Sandwich Stoberi atau Sandwic Sando dalam Japanese


Let's have a feeling in Japan or outside at Family Mart. I saw Sando Sandwich at the mart. The apperance is very alluring, beautiful. Didn't buy it, but bought something more filling when we were there.


Once had meal there, got home, no more eating session. I doubt it if I had Sando Sandwich i might need to eat again hehe..


Why didn't I buy main course meal then had Sando as Dessert, since I wanted to try it right? I knew the whole entourage want to do same. And this may exceed the budget :)


Okay back to making Sando Sandwich. Two slices of white bread, as you can see that while bread is more alluring dessert looking compare to whole meal bread.


Whipped cream the must find ingredient and another are Strawberries. Rarely at home, once they are home, you can have them repeatedly.


How to do it is as shown in the video. Whipped more cream in the middle of the bread. Lay cut strawberries, stack another slice, and cut it to two. Then ready to bite with coffee or tea. Very refreshing as cream with strawberry is a match from heaven.

Jom kita fefeeling kat Jepun atau di luar di Family Mart.  Ternampak sandwic stoberi tapi tak terbeli pula sebab bila ke sana akan ambil yang mengenyangkan.


Sekali dah makan kat luar, balik rumah tiada lagi sesi makan memakan. Saya ragu bila makan sandwic stoberi ni mesti nak cari sesuatu untuk menjamah lagi hehe.. 


Kenapa tak beli jer makanan mengenyangkan dan sandwich stoberi sebagai pencuci mulut kan? Dah tahu nanti jemaah saya nak jugak ikut beli itu ini sebab dessert family mart ni comel2 cantik ala korean juga. Terlebih budget nanti. 


Okay berbalik nak buat Sandwich Stoberi. Dua keping roti putih, jika perasan roti putih lagi terserlah iras dessert hehe.. dari roti fiber tinggi. 


Tekan whip cream, ini bahan utama dan yang satu lagi tu stoberi. Jarang ada di rumah, tapi bila dah ada boleh buat berulang kali. 


Cara nak buat tu ada dalam video. Tekan lebih krim ditengah roti. Susun stoberi di atas krim. Terlengkup dengan sekeping roti di atasnya. Potong dua. Siap untuk dinikmati dengan kopi atau teh. Menyegarkan sebab gandingan stoberi dan krim tu memang kena.

Lobster Charcoal Sandwich n etc at St Regis | Sandwic roti arang Udang Kara dan sebagainya di Hotel St Regis

After pick up father. we planned to have lunch.|

Selepas ambil bapa, kami rancang nak makan tengahari

Since Uncle was here yes this was in Feb 22 we hope he would invite us for lunch.| Masa uncle ada di sini ya  dalam bulan Feb 22 ni, kami harap dia jemput kami untuk makan tengahari


When I got the invitation from Uncle, I planned not to tell dad so early.  Accidentally he knew, then dad had his own plan to treat his son (Uncle) and my mother fish curry. So we stopped to buy a pack of fish curry.


Somehow we still proceed having lunch at Uncle's place. Theres slightly changes, we went there early coz of dad's eagerness.


And I had to carry the plastic of fish curry as dad didnt want to leave it in the car. I thought I could  walkin in style haha..


Thats why we had sandwich as it was during brunch time.


We had sandwiches were lobster fillings

Salmon fillings

Another one was seafood I think with croissant

and the waitress was very nice. 


Dad had hot chocolate as he had morning coffee already

Uncle had cuppucino

We also had hot choc


The sandwiches were delicious and juicy.  The drinks were the best as well and the prices were also bombastic and would shake my hands if I'd  to pay hehe..but host said his pleasure. 


Grateful we had to experience brunch at the lounge of St Regis Hotel. I had real lunch at the restaurant at the different level too on different day here, love to share it again. The same host. Thank you so much.

Forgive me for my short comings. Eid Al Mubarak


Bila dapat jemputan dari Uncle, saya rancang nak beritau bapa lambat sikit. Tak sengaja bapa tertahu awal pula. Dia pula buat rencana sendiri nak menjamu kari ikan kat anaknya (uncle) dan isterinya Emak hehe.. 


Tah macamana kami masih teruskan jumpa Uncle untuk makan tengahari. Tapi kami pergi awal, asbab keterujaaan bapa atau sikap bapa tak menyempat melanda.


Dan saya pula kena bawa kari ikan bungkus sebab bapa tak nak tinggal kari ikan tu di dalam kereta. Adoi tak bole la nak jalan bergaya masuk haha..


Sebab tu kami menjamah sandwic dah sampai waktu sarapan merangkap makan tengahari.


Kami menikmati sandwich berisi

Lobster

Salmon

Satu lagi tu mix seafood kalau tak silap dengan roti croissant

Dan pelayan pun baik. 


Bapa minum coklat panas sebab dia  minum kopi awal pagi tu. Uncle ambil cuppucino

Kami pun minum choc panas


Sandwic yang dihidangkan sangat sedap dan enak. Minuman pun beraroma segar, harga pun nak sama naik hebat juga hingga tergentar tangan jika saya yang membayar hehe.. Tapi hos berbesar hati. 


Syukur dapat pengalaman makan sarapan merangkap makan tengahari di lounge hotel st Regis.  Pernah juga makan lunch kat restoran di tingkat lain di situ, ingat nak kongsi bila-bila. Hos yang sama. Alhamdulillah. Terima kasih banyak-banyak.

Chili Beef Lung and Tom Yum Soup | Sambal Paru Lembu dan Sup Tom Yam

Came back from Lotus the hypermarket here with cut vege and ready to cook Tom Yum ingredients. | Balik dari Lotus bawa balik sayur dan bahan Tom Yam yang dah dipotong sedia dimasak.

Beef lung was kept frozen for a few days, its time to cook it with green chilli paste. | Paru lembu yang telah disimpan beku beberapa hari dah patut dimasak sambal hijau paru. 


While cooking, I got a call from a guest to come over for breaking fast with us. So I continued cooking, didn't add any dish but added an extra plate.


I still arranged the plates on the kitchen table. Didn't have any intention to do it at another place.


Luckily we didn't feel cramped with 5 pax at the small diner setting. 


The Tom Yum didn't turn up as expected. Then I concluded that it's the end of story for me as a cook. Need to be served and cooked for hehe. like Henry Ford, he"s not good in a certain skill, so he just 'hired' the right peeps :) to do the job for him hehe.. 


Anyway, the beef lung turned up so good until I could eat it just like that, on it's own. Of course there was celery mix orange apple juice to grab if it too spicy :) 


That was a beautiful evening with prayers lead by the guest. Thankful.

Semasa memasak dapat panggilan dari tetamu nak berbuka dengan kami. Saya teruskan memasak tak tambah  lauk tapi letak pinggan lebih satu. 


Saya susun pinggan di atas meja dapur. Tak da rancangan nak pergi tukar tempat lain. 


Nasib baik, kami tak rasa  bertemu bahu berlima di meja makan halus ni.


Kuah Tom Yam tak lah menjadi seperti diharapkan. Kira habis cerita aih buat diri ni jadi tukang masak. Macam kena jadi orang yang menunggu dihidangkan dan dimasakkan ja :) ibarat Henry Ford, dia tiada kemahiran dalam satu bidang, jadi beliau hanya upahkan orang yang pakar bidang tu jer hehe.. 


Apapun, paru lembu terjadi dengan sedapnya sampai boleh diratah begitu saja. Tapi mestila ada jus seleri campur oren epal nak capai kalau terpedas :) 


Malam pada hari tu sangat indah, bersolat terawikh berimankan tetamu seorang tu. Alhamdulillah. Syukur.

Fish Curry, Pan Grilled Chicken by kids & Cendol| Kari Ikan, Ayam panggng dalam pan dimasak oleh anak-anak & Cendol

Its time to delegate tasks to others | masanya untuk menurunkan tugasan kepada generasi muda

Chose something easy with less ingredients and not time consuming. | pilih masakan yang kurang bahan dan tidak makan masa lama. 


Early in the morning, I told abang that I preferred him to prepare his favorite dish. He agreed and willing to do it.


On the other hand, adik preferred chicken, so I told her, she could learn cooking her favorite food, and at least becomes an expert on preparing one dish of hers. 


She's fine with the idea. While preparing, they took out what they need. I made sure that the ingredients were in order and with the right proportion.


Fish Curry:

2 blocks of fish

Half an onion, 5 garlic cloves

Fermented fish (belacan) paste

Tamarind juice

Curry powder paste (mix with water)

Mixed Halba


As for chicken:

Honey

Thymes

Dried basils

Salt

Pepper

chicken

Marinate the meat


I prepared Cendol. Bought a pack of cendol, cooked gula melaka syrup, and poured bought coconut milk. And plain water for drinks. 


That's it for breaking fast on that day. Simple :)

Awal pagi tu, saya beritau abang lebih elok jika dia sediakan makanan kegemarannya. Dia setuju dan memaklum je. 


Di sebalik itu, si adik pula lebih gemar ayam, jadi bincang dengannya tentang belajar masak ayam kesukaannya, sekurang kurangnya, cekap satu juadah. 


Adik mengiyakan dengan buah fikiran tu. Sementara menyediakan bahan, mereka keluarkan apa yang perlu. Saya pastikan bahan ikut susunan dan cukup sukatan. 


Kari ikan:

2 ketul ikan

Separuh bawang holland dan 5 ulas bawang putih

Belacan

Jus asam jawa

Serbuk kari campur air

Halba campur


Manakala untuk ayam pula:

Madu

Herba Thymes

Herba Basil kering

Garam

Lada

Satu bahagian ayam

Perap


Saya sediakan Cendol. Beli jer se paket, masak gula melaka hingga jadi sirap. Campur dengan santan. Dan air masak sebagai minuman. 

Itu jer, juadah berbuka, ringkas :)

Pilaf rice (turned out differently)/ fruit juice | Nasi hujan panas tak jadi /air buah

Middle East rice alike was our break the fast dinner | Nasi Timur Tengah, juadah berbuka 

The pilaf rice is ghee rice with drops of colors in so its called Sunny Rainy Rice hehe | Itulah nasi minyak yang ditabur setitik dua perwarna dipanggil nasi hujan panas


It happened that day we craved for briyani type of rice, as lacking of ingredients we attempted to make the famous among us pilaf rice with mixture of colors (existing baking ingredients hehe) 


The fate of the rice that evening turned red, red alert panicking of wonders of taste, how would it be.  


Luckily the taste was still good and the fragrance was appetizing. So we could eat in peace. 


Meanwhile I prepared celery juice mix with orange abit of apple, that was refreshing, if you could see I prepared also all the type of sauces to cook wantan mee for sahur our supper meal. 


So I know the cause of mistake on the color because of tiredness and think of too much to do at the last minutes. Ok next to prep proper one and manage it well hopefully :))

Nak jadikan cerita rasa nak makan nasi minyak ala biryani, disebabkan tiada bahan, Coba masak nasi femes iaitu nasi hujan panas sebab bahan yang ada perwarna buat kek hehe (mood baking kembali) 


Ditakdir nasi yang dimasak petang tu jadi merah menyala, nino nino panik dengan memikirkan apa rasanya. 


Alhamdulilah rezeki rasanya sedap, wanginya pun menyelerakan. Bolela makan dengan tenang. 


Sambil tu saya sediakan air seleri campur buah oren epal sikit, menyegarkan betul. Yang sebenar jika nampak ada juga bahan kicap bagai untuk masak mi wantan buat sahur. 


Jadi dah agakla,  tak jadi ni sebab keletihan fikir, nak buat semua masa yang singkat hujung-hujung waktu berbuka. Lain kali buat awal dan uruskan dengan seelok mungkin, harap-harap la :))

Butterfly Pea Shortbread | Biskut Shortbread bunga Telang

Been watching video from Pinterest of making Spring cookies. | 

Asyik tonton video dari Pinterest cara buat biskut musim bunga

Attracted on how beautiful the cookies with pressed flowers. | Tertarik dengan kecantikan biskut yang diletak bunga kering


I didn't edit the video well for blog, as it took a lot of photos to shorten it, so I attached with only a teaser video.  


Earlier on, I am fond of the beauty of edible flowers. I fell more for the ones decorated on cookies, they are so pretty. 


I didn't hesitate to pick the blue butterfly peas, washed them, dried them before placing them between the pages of a book. 


When the mood came, I chose the recipe that is using less sugar. 


The recipe called out for somerhing like this:


1 cup of butter

1/2 cup of sugar

2 cups of flour

1 tsp of vanilla

Mix butter and castor sugar til white, add flour and vanilla. Let it chill in fridge for two hours. 


The dough is kinda soft, I should have added flour but I didn't.  The taste is nice buttery, melt in the mouth but not that crunchy and not easy to break. Today, I'm going to finish another batch, and will put higher temp and more time and see the outcome.  


Oh yes, the flowers, I pressed on the cookies right after the cookies came out from oven and coated with sugar. Some I put back in the oven to bake more and yet the flower didn't shrink or become brownish. 


That's it :)

Saya tak edit video elok untuk buat blog sebab ambil masa agak panjang dan keluarkan banyak gambar untuk pendekkan, jadi saya letak video trailer jer. 


Memang seawalnya, saya suka lihat kecantikan bunga musim bunga yang boleh konsum ni, apa tah lagi, terus jatuh hati pula bila ia di atas biskut, lawa sangat.


Saya tak teragak agak untuk petik bunga telang yang biru, basuh, keringkan sebelum letak di atas kertas minyak di antara muka surat buku. 


Bila mood mai ja, saya pilih resepi biskut yang kurang gula. 


Resepinya lebih kurang macam ni saja:


1 cawan mentega

1/2 cawan gula kastor

2 cawan tepung

1 tsp vanilla

Campur mentega dan gula, krimkan hingga hampir putih. Tambah vanilla dan tepung. Perapkan dalam peti sejuk selama 2 jam. 


Adunan agak bermentega dan lembut. Patutnya saya perlu tambah tepung tapi tak tambah pun. Rasa sedap cair dalam mulut tapi tak rangup dan tak mudah pecah,.  Hari ni nak abiskan sebahagian lagi, mungkin tambah suhu dan masa lebih.


Oh ya, bunga, saya tekan di biskut sebaik biskut dikeluarkan dari oven, dan tabur sikit gula atas bunga. Ada yang saya masukkan balik dalam oven, bunganya tak kecut atau bertukar warna. Alhamdulillah.

Pecal (Boiled vege) with peanut sauce | Pecal dengan Kuah Kacang

Find it refreshing having original form of vege, just boiled and ready to eat. | Rasa menyegarkan menjamu selera dengan sayur yang direbus sahaja. 

Off course it's good served with sauce which is made of peanut and chilli. | Semestinyalah sedap disaluti dengan sos yang diperbuat dari kacang dan cili


I know that I've already posted the GadoGado dish before, it's the same thing but its called pecal. I've made the same dish and posted online again as it is not my staple food. From my previous post of last year, I had it only once. 


I would changed the eggs to other protein instead. The vege are fillings like rice. I think its a good idea to name a restaurant under the name GadoGado vegetables or pecal with various protein and sauces for the menu, interesting right? 


I loved the color fibres and wanted to add zucchini or aubergine.  Sauce can be diverse to shrimp paste, caramelized soy sauce or thick curry mmm.... drooling.. Hehe. 


So I figured this is my first time for this year I ate peanut sauce salad that is in video or photo  with beautified coffee art that had to be adjusted, as it didn't turn up well.

Tahulah dah pernah post Gado Gado sebelum ni, pecal ni lebih kurang sama.  Saja nak siarkan lagi walaupun ia belum capai makanan ruji. Memang nak makan selalu. Tahun lepas makan sekali je. 


Nanti nak tukar telur ke protin lain pula. Sayuran ni boleh mengenyangkan seakan nasi. Bolehla buka restoran nama GadoGado dengan bermacam kuah, menarikkan?


Suka warnanya dan nak tambah zucchini atau terung. Sos diperbagaikan kepada sos udang kering, kicap manis karamel ataupun kuah kari pekat ke mmm tertelan airliur aih... Hehe


Kiranya ni pertama kalilah dalam tahun ni, makan kuah kacang dengan sayuran  di gambar atas  bersama kopi berseni yang tak berapa jadi, terpaksa la tokok tambah hiasan.

After we had Boost Juice, we went to Publika etc. the next day off to Malacca. 

| Setelah menikmati Boost Juice kami pergi Publika dll. Keesokkan hari baru pergi ke Melaka. 

Since I compiled the later photos of food, would U-turn after this hehe | Dah kumpul gambar makanan yang terawal sikit nanti belok U balik hehe


Arrived safely at Malacca the historical city, we went straight to find a hotel. The road structure in Malacca city mostly are one way; So, we drove from a circles before finally found the hotel. 


At the lobby we had Welcome Tea with Nyonya Biscuits but I used to call it 'biskut timbang'. Immediately I poured the tea from the majestic looking pot to the beautiful China cups, adik enjoyed opening the packets of different type of biscuits which were :

Colored Sugar Cookies


As for dinner, we planned to go out but dad wanted to eat Mee Rebus;  mee with beef gravy.  So, we ordered via Grab and ate at the library as a hotel has few designated rooms. By the way the restaurant opens at 7pm but we (my dad) couldn't wait. Stopped at the library ala reading room.


The next morning, I ordered Nasi Royale Kedah, coz the hotel didn't have room service, they only do delivery of food to room from the reception where the Grab dropped in. 


While waiting for the food I fixed myself the complimentary coffee with the coffee machine. So let all the tummies of the troop full, then only made our moved out and about. Where to? Brb To be continue.. :)

Sampai di Melaka, bandaraya bersejarah, kami terus cari hotel. Struktur jalanraya di bandar ni kebanyakkannya sehala, buat laluan bulat pusing pusing barulah terjumpa hotel. 


Di lobby kami disambut dengan Teh dan biskut Nyonya, saya panggil biskut timbang, nostalgik. Terus tuang teh dari teko majestik ke cawan China comel. Adik suka buka  paket biskut, adala beberapa diantaranya ialah:

Untuk makan malam, kami rancang nak keluar, tapi bapa tak menyempat nak makan Mee Rebus. Saya pesan melalui Grab dan makan mee rebus di bilik bacaan. Hotel seakan mansion tu mempunyai berbagai bilik khas. Sebelum tu, restoran di hotel buka pukul 7 malam, tak dapatla menunggu. Makan je kat bilik ala perpustakaan. 


Bila pagi menjelang, saya pesan Nasi Lemak Royale Kedah  sebab hotel bagaikan rumah agam "mansion" tiada "room service". Cuma ada penghantaran ke bilik dari kaunter penyambut tetamu dimana Grab letak makanan di situ. 


Sementara menunggu makanan dihantar saya bancuh kopi complimentary dengan mesin kopi. Biar perut-perut angkatan  kenyang. Baru boleh keluar jenjalan. Ke mana ya? Tungguuu... Bersambung.. :)

Grilled Fish Teriyaki and 33 beads bracelets for Zikir Counter | Ikan bakar berkicap dan 33 butir manik Tasbih

Cooked fish and chicken for dinner, and made tasbih bracelets for goodies. | Masak ikan  dan ayam untuk makan malam, dan kemudian buat tasbih untuk dibuat cenderamata.


Two titles in a post as to finish up the photos which soon will be transfered to hard disk. | Dua tajuk sekali harung kali ini nak simpan sikit di sini seterusnya alih ke cakera keras hehe


Simple dinner served to lower the grocery budget and light for night sleep, one block of protein shared.


I made it nice as usually they tended to eat right there and then not finished fast.


Talked and ate till the end. But yet, there was leftover from adik. She has more liking to bread, and she had it just before evening. I even told her to be patient and not to eat bread again til' the night meal.


I got caught again in beadings, I know some don't like it when I am in a 'quiet' mode with my hobby hehe..


I made sure that I've settled the housechores, fed everyone and then only sat quietly in my own world.


Still figuring out when is the best time to have the art and craft time, before bedtime or just squeeze in whenever in the mood.


That's all for updates on light dinner most of time to rotate bread or pasta and having left my old hobby and found it back. The bracelet also acted as Zikir Counter as goodies if anyone interested :) some had even passed to their relatives and acquaintances.

Hidangan makan malam yang mudah untuk mengurangkan bajet barangan makanan dan pengambilan ringan (kurang portion)atau tukar pasta atau roti untuk malam hari. Seketul protin yang dikongsi bersama. 


Saya membuatnya seperti selalu, mereka makan tak menyempat juga cuma tak  pula laju menghabiskannya. .


Berbual dan makan hingga kehujung. Tapi masih ada baki makanan dari adik. Dia lebih minat makan roti dan baru lepas makan roti sebelum waktu petang. Siap pesan kat dia supaya sabar dan jangan makan dulu sebelum makan malam. 


Saya ni terjebak balik dengan manik manik. Saya tahu ada yang tak suka bila saya dalam mod 'senyap' dengan hobi saya ni hehe.. 


Dah pastikan yang semua kerja rumah dah beres, dan semuanya dah makan sebelum saya dok senyap dalam alam manik hehe.. 


Masih tercari cari waktu sesuai untuk masa kraftangan saya ni, samada sebelum tidur ataupun tangkap muat bila mood ada. 


Itulah dia cerita tentang makan malam cuba kurangkan potion dan tentang terjumpa balik dengan hobi lama saya yang telah agak lama ditinggalkan. Gelang manik ni juga boleh dibuat sebagai tasbih zikir, cenderamata yang berfungsi jika ada sesiapa yang berminat :) Ada yang dapatkannya untuk di beri pada sedara mara dan juga kenalan.

The whole week of  last weeks, I had many types of meal that i myself could not make it at home. 


Sometimes I came home from sending kids, I stopped at the restaurant. At another time, I went straight back home fixing breakfast and then went out to accompanied my parents.

Everytime I had meals at the shop, I ordered warm water and that made me feel guilty a bit.. since didn't need to pay much for their business. 


I have my own reasons coz I had to flush my sugary and carby intake after consume too much. I thought a lot. They are fine and well off actually and making tons of money :) Relax babe.

Minggu lepas berbagai hidangan sarapan yang dinikmati Alhamdulillah. 


Kadang saya balik rumah dari hantar budak-budak ke sekolah, saya akan berhenti di kedai makan, atau terus balik sediakan sarapan, ada sekali tu keluar pula makan bersama parents bila diajak. 


Setiap kali bila menjamah di kedai, saya pesan air suam, yang tu yang membuat saya rasa bersalah kerana bayaran air kosong tak menolong banyak perniagaan mereka. 


Saya ada sebabnya kerana saya nak detox gula dan karbo yang diambil rasa terlebih makan. Saya ja yang fikir banyak..Mereka OK jer dan buat duit berton-ton :)  Bertenang babe.

Chicken Pita at Sunrise | Pita Ayam semasa matahari naik

Prepared lunch box for abang. | Sediakan bekalan masa rehat untuk abang. 



Beautiful sunrise on the way home. | Matahari naik yang indah masa hala ke rumah. 


Bought Mission Bell brand pita bread for the meal. Cooked the chicken filling earlier on the day before, and just reheated it up. Cut the pita into two and filled it up with chicken with herbs but less pepper. 


By the way, pita bread has pocket inside, so there's no need to cut it in between, it's easy to  stuff fillings inside hehe.. 


I heated up the chicken pita in a sandwich maker until the light went off. Packed them for abang and off we went, to send him to school.


Came back and repeated the same procedure of making the sandwich ala taco bell and bite to fill our tummy hehe..

Beli roti pita dari brand Mission. Masak ayam awal pada hari sebelumnya. Panaskannya dan potong dua roti pita lalu isikan dengan ayam herba yang kurang lada hitam. 


Apapun, roti pita ni dah ada poket di dalam, jadi tak payah hiris pula tengah-tengah tu, senang nak perosok masuk isinya hehe...


Panaskan roti dalam pembuat sandwich sampai lampu padam. Bungkus dalam bekas dan terus keluar hantar abang kesekolah. 


Balik dan sampai rumah, ulang langkah buat roti ala taco bell dan ngap untuk isi perut sendiri hehe.. Alhamdulillah.

Boost Juice at Genting Highland

After a long ride, we need to stop. |

|Setelah berlama di dalam kenderaan, perlu berhenti sekejap.

After picked up Uncle, we thought of moving forward up north but he seemed wanted to explore around here.


It was a bright and beautiful day but became gloomy on the way to the high land nearby.


Went up to the peak, no one wanted to step down, even lunch we made our way to a Starbuck drive thru only.


Then, the nature calling for one of us, I realised that we must take a break. But dad still wanted to sit. Was worry a bit, coz he sat for so long and it could make his legs cramp. 


Sure he will soon, so we took a break for prayers and drinks. 


We had 3 tubs of Boost Juice

Uncle bought Mango something, 

Adik had Cookies Creams while

myself enjoyed the juice that had ginger, sorry I do not recalled the names and it's proper menu. 


Boost Juice are made of frozen fruits, vege, roots. Sipping with straw and tasted the crushed,  delicious snow ice, melt in mouth tiny flakes, all natural with no sugar added. It was really rejuvenating after a long journey.

Regret abit no nice video.

Hari tu nampak cerah dan indah tapi tiba-tiba menjadi malap dan redup semasa perjalanan ke tanah tinggi terdekat iaitu genting. 


Naik ke puncak, tiada sorang pula nak jejak keluar, hingga makan tengahari pun nak duduk di suap kat pandu lalu Starbuck. 


Setelah ada seorang yang dapat panggilan semulajadi ke tandas, barulah sedar kami semua perlu rehat dan rawat terutama buat bapa yang tak nak turun. Risau juga sebab takut kakinya kejang. 


Takpa pelan-pelan dia turun, jadi kami turun rehat dan rawat bersolat dan minum-minum. 


Kami beli Boost Juice 3 tub. 

Uncle beli yang ada Mango

Adik minum Cookies Creams manakala yang empunya blog hehe nikmati jus campuran halia, sedih dan maaf kerana tak dapat bagi menu yang sempurna. 


Jus Boost ni terdiri dari buah buahan, sayuran serta akar (halia) yang disejuk beku. Menyedut dengan straw terasalah pecahan halus ais berkecai, ala salju, cair dalam mulut. Tiada bahan tambahan atau gula. Sangat menyegarkan. Kecewa juga dan maaf sebab tiada pic atau video jus yang elok.

Steamed Rice with Kam Heong Chicken (Homemade) | Nasi kukus dengan ayam masak herba campur

Simply for fun yet avoiding messiness. |

 Saja suka-suka tapi tak mau la serabut sangat. 


The idea to prepare sandwich for school pupils in the house. So I took out the chicken fillet for defrost. Evening appeared, the 'kiddies' were waiting to be fed hehe.. 


I turned the chicken for sandwich to become the main dish for dinner, not breaking the rule right? 


Tried to make Chicken like in the Mohd Chan Restaurant menu but skipped sos and that, almost totally different.  


When chicken and rice were ready and served it and recorded the moment but not all was supportive because of hunger and wanted to add their favourite ingredient "raisins"! 


The mission to take video on the four plates were accomplished at least. Thats it.

Asalnya nak buat sandwic untuk murid sekolah di rumah ni. Jadi saya bawa keluar filet ayam untuk dinyah beku. Senja menjelma dan banyak anak-anak yang perlu diberi makan hehe.. 


Asal nak buat sandwic berubah jadi hidangan makan malam. Tak menjadi kesalahan kan?


Cuba masak ayam macam menu Restoran Mohd Chan tapi kurang sos itu dan ini, macam tak jadi.


Masakan ayam dan nasi siap dah terhidang. Mahu merakam  momen ni, tapi ada yang tak berapa sokong pasal perut yang dah kelaparan. Ada juga yang nak tambah bahan kegemarannya "kismis"!


Misi nak ambil video empat pinggan hidangan ini tercapai setidaknya. Itu je.

American Breakfast at Element by Westin | Sarapan orang Amerika di Element oleh Westin

While uncle was around and it was still school holiday, we proceeded with ad-hoc leisure. 

| Sementara Uncle ada di sini dan cuti sekolah, teruskan ja dengan makan angin santai tanpa rancang

First tried on something interesting by going to Subang Airport SZB to test our luck there for tickets to Langkawi Island. |

Cuba dulu yang lebih menarik, ke Subang Airport SZB, kut-kut ada rezeki ke Pulau Langkawi. 


Luckier I guessed, when we proceeded with a road trip to Kuala Lumpur instead, stopped at Intercontinental Hotel, where that night was full house, before walked out and checked in at Element by Westin nearby. 


We bought dinner from outside and had it in the room. Enjoyed the stunning night view and also the bright fabulous day skyscraper view from the 4Oth floor. 


The breakfast was luxurious though they only offered two types of menu e.g. Asian and American breakfast so we had both, kinda shared them among us. 


The American meals we had were:

Toasts

Sausages

Omelette

Hashbrown

Fruits platter

Juice

Coffee and Tea


Whilst the Asian meals were:

Coconut rice with boiled egg anchovies, cucumber, shrimp

Curry puffs

Plenty of fruits

Juice

Coffee tea


Grateful for full tummy and proceeded to pick up Uncle after that.

Rezeki lebih baik rasanya, bila teruskan kembara dgn kereta ke KL. Berhenti di Hotel Intercontinental, di mana malam tu semua bilik penuh. Keluar dari situ dan daftar masuk ke Element di bawah rangkaian  Westin Group. 


Beli makanan malam dari luar dan nikmati di dalam bilik. Jamu mata permandangan pada malam yang menakjubkan dan keesokan harinya kelihatan ceria cerah bandar berpencakar langit dari tingkat 40.


Hidangan sarapanya sangat mewah walaupun yang ditawarkan cuma dua jenis iaitu makanan Asia dan Amerika, jadi kami pesan dua-dua dan kongsi di antara kami. 


Hidangan Amerikanya adalah:

Roti bakar

Sosej

Telur hancur

Ubi goreng

Potongan buah

Jus

Kopi dan Teh


Manakala hidangan Asianya pula seperti di bawah:

Nasi Lemak, telur rebus, kacang sambal, ikan bilis goreng, udang

Kopi dan Teh


Alhamdulillah kenyang perut dan terus gerak menjemput Uncle.

Orange, Cucumber Juice Art with snack Tortilla | Jus cantik Oren, Timun bersama snek Tortilla

Since I tried coffee art, I then figured how to make decorative juice as well. | 
Sejak memandai buat seni kopi cantik, cuba untuk mencantikkan jus juga. 


Juice is my cup of tea, but not really the whip cream all hehe.. I tried to cut down on sweets actually...try only. |

 Jus kena dengan gaya hidup dan citarasa, bukan la krim whip hehe...masih cuba nak nyah gula, cuba jer.


I tried to prepare a meal for four; I also tried to film a video for four to censor the side that were an eyesore. It's just a human thing, I want to do but half heartedly because of shyness, It's not so easy to be open wide, and I tend forgetting the original concept of blogging. 


I shredded the leftover chicken as filling for the tortilla, and added mixed coconut medjool dates in the plate. As for juice, I cut small pieces so that they can fit in the juicer for making the drink


Then, I cut strawberries into two. Coated them slightly with icing sugar. Then I poured the juice and placed the strawberry on top, the strawberries somehow defying gravity, and stayed there for quite long time. Beautiful juice to drink:))

Saya sediakan hidangan untuk empat orang. Cuba filem untuk empat makan minum dengan mengelak tepian yang menyemak mata. Biasala jasad berjiwa ni, nak buat tapi segan buka hati tak ingatkan niat dan konsep asal berblog. 


Saya carikkan ayam semalam jadi isi tortilla tu, letak campuran kurma medjool dengan kelapa parut kedalam pinggan. Untuk jus pula, saya potong bahan kecil-kecil, senang masuk dalam mesin jus. 


Akhirnya, saya potong sebiji dua strawberi. Salutkan dengan gula icing dan letak keatas jus, dengan izinNya ia melawan graviti, lama juga terapung. Cantik untuk diminum :)

Butterfly Pea Drink, Tumeric Drink, Toast & Macaroni Soup | Minuman Bunga Telang, Air Kunyit, Roti Bakar & Sup Makaroni

It has been a long time that I haven't drink any herbal drink; So, I made them for sipping

 | Dah lama tak minum minuman herba; Jadi buat untuk menghirup. 

Having herbal drinks and seeing adik making her toasts. | 

Sarapan air herba sambil menyaksikan adik menyiapkan roti bakarnya.


I felt healthy somehow when sipping herbs drinks. The tumeric made my body felt light and cleanse inside out.


Tumeric drink can be consumed two or three times a week as it warmed up body and I can sweat easily. I normally got them raw online or at the nearby supermarket. 


As for butterfly pea on the other hand, cooled and calmed me down. We have grown the plant at home and it easily grew into a thick creeping bush especially during the rainy season. 


The benefits of these two drinks could be found when looking in Google Search; One of them are their antiseptic properties. Another well known benefits of them are the strong antioxidant in which could be use to fight cancerous cells.


Anyway, my personal reasons for drinking them was for detoxify and also have already grown fond of sipping them right after I had my breakfast. 


In the video, i inserted the part of  adik prepared her own breakie and bit of macaroni soup for breakfast of mind as it is easy to heat up.

Bila menghirup minuman herba ni buat saya rasa sihat, InshaAllah. Bahan kunyit buat badan rasa ringan dan bersih luar dan dalam.


Minuman kunyit ini boleh diminum dua hingga tiga kali seminggu dan ia memanaskan badan serta membuatkan diri berpeluh dengan mudah. Selalunya saya dapatkannya mentah dalam talian, atau membelinya terus dari pasaraya yang berdekatan. 


Manakala, bunga biru telang pula bersifat menyejukkan badan dan menenangkan minda. Saya menanam pokok telang ni di kawasan rumah dan ia amat mudah hidup dan berbunga lebat, lebih lebih lagi dalam musim hujan. 


Banyak kelebihan minuman ni yang boleh didapati melalui carian Google Search: Salah satunya ialah sifat antiseptiknya. Satu lagi ialah sifat antioksidannya yang kuat dan boleh menentang sel sel kanser. 


Walaubagaimanapun, bagi saya secara peribadi ialah sebagai minuman yang mennyahtoksik. Dan juga saya dah terbiasa dengan menhirup minuman ini bila selesai saja bersarapan. 


Dalam video, saja selit bahagian adik menyediakan sarapannya dan sedikit bab sarapan sendiri sup makaroni yang senang dipanaskan di pagi hari.

Mixed Vege Fritters | Cucur Sayur Campur

Bought mixed vege and kept it for the rainy day | Beli sayur campur dan simpan untuk hari yang tiada sayur segar

Also thought it would more appetizing in fried rice | Juga rasa ia akan menyelerakan dalam nasi goreng


Yes the frozen mixed vege has been a long time in fridge, rarely I made fried rice as one of the household doesn't take fried rice, other do but opt out the vege. 


Since I tried to have breakfast with vege or something simple. I make vege fritters. Actually, I had onion fritters, prawn friitters or banana fritters not vege only fritters. 


First time making it and first time baking them in the oven. They were good and crisp. I ate some and kept in the freezer for another hungry day. 


There will be the time I prepared frozen ones and set for breakfast  to be up here again.

Dah lama sayur campur beku ini berada dalam peti ais, jarang saya goreng nasi sebab seorang penghuni rumah tak suka nasi goreng dan seorang lagi pula makan tetapi tanpa sayur didalamnya. 


Sejak cuba makan sayur dan makanan ringkas di hening hari. Saya buat cucur sayur campur. Sebenarnya yang pernah makan ialah Cucur bawang, Cucur udang atau cucur kodok, belum pernah lagi cucur sayur ni. 


Pertama kali saya membuatnya dan terulung kali juga dibakar dalam oven. Sedap dan rangup. Makan beberapa biji dan simpan dalam peti ais buat simpanan masa lapar lagi hehe. 


Akan ada hari saya sediakan cucur sayur beku ni dan hidang serta bersiaran di sini lagi.
