Love

The more I think it over, the more I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people - Vincent van Gogh

I just simply chose the title, I did not know what to type anyway, so I search the nicest phrase from Vincent Van Gogh and pasted here.

I have many ambitions at my age now, I want so much to be rich, not just rich but to make money which the money is generate itself one day, I sounded like a scientist, magician maybe. And the legacy to leave behind to the future generation, sounded like an politician lol! But my real ambition was to be in motherhood phase of life. I thank Allah for giving me that, which is only from Allah I have it and I am in it, Alhamdulillah. But I am not a mother to a princess yet, so here I go again pray to Allah everyday, everytime it crosses my mind, I ask from God that I want a beautiful solehah daughter. I admire mothers and daughters relationship, I nurture the feelings motherly feelings of a daughter. I naturally wanted a baby sister though, I never had one. So it is time for me to have a baby girl "wink" "wink" InsyaAllah.

At one point of life, I was earning love from my nephews, and still actually, I told them I love them everytime I saw them. I do that as they are the younger generations that I want to love and continue relationship in the future years to come. I can feel the loves of theirs as well. They care about me especially one of them said that he had to company me as I was a single woman supposed not to go anywhere alone. I feel touched but I didn't expect that to happen as he is a young boy and he has his own life takes over his thoughts. At least there is something nice to hear, whatever you give, you get back! - the phrase of some book. Now that I have a handsome boy of my own, I know better to love him, naturally better, not just love but I will give a beautiful baby sister to him...haha.. it is a typical human's desire, want want want :)

Travelling

I craved for travelling so much, that's why I love airports, Wright Brothers hehe...as for highways...appreciate them so much too with green sceneries and the concretes jungle stops.

How I wish I could pack bags and off to places in overseas...I've never been to London...people around me said, just came back from London, she's not here, in London at the moment, London, London. I must find ways to make my way there. But for a while I want to go somewhere near, I just have to flip the websites of AirAsia, Malaysian Airlines or KLM or etc which are my favourite sites now :)

SundaY at mY parents

side walk view from my parents' home

My nephew said he feels misplaced where he is. Sounded like he needs some space. He is at his grandparents. While having lunch, his grandma offers him yogurt drink, he declined as he is fine with plain water. He said he feels misplaced because he doesn't know where he supposed to be. His friend wants him, his grandparents want him to stay longer, his mother wants him home, his teacher wants him not to miss the class, his brother wants him to attend the class with him and us, me and family want him to the theme park.

I told him, he must be proud of himself, he is adorable to everyone, he is just like his mother. Every relative wants her too, from the great-grandparents to the tiny aunty.
Then come again my mother offers her grandson who already told her nicely that he does not want to be offered again. She offers him orange juice this time, I immediately say offer me, offer me, me, me as I was lazy to take the drink myself. I said to my mother, she must offer me otherwise I feel misplaced, I came to my parents for a visit sort of but more to unwind in the metropolitan life. Next to my parents house, just a step away, you could find everything that you want, theme park, mall, shops, cinema, iceskating rink, heavy traffic etc.

I love my parents' place but I live somewhere else in the mainland part of an island. I once dreamt of cities by the water and I got it. I am loving it that I can go anywhere within a fifteen-minute drive. There are some entertainment, well I went there once and wrote about it in my previous post.
I like the wind from the island, so close and embracing. I, though, ain't quite ready to call there a place I love the most.
Looking back, I was not really land anywhere, having lived in BB, PJ, among other places. Happy places, though are slippery things. Some hate on their first two visits but magically fell in love with the third time. Likewise, some other love a place on the first move but then grows tired of it overtime.
Some places are like family. They are good or not so to be with, especially during the holidays but we keep coming back for more because we know deep in our hearts our destinies are intertwined.

mom with TelepathY

Telepathy is the transfer of information on thoughts or feelings between individuals by means other than the five senses. I do not know much about telepathy. Recently, I was watching discovery channel with my nephew about pyschic mind, telepathy crossed my mind. My nephew said telepathy is not invented.

I heard about telepathy from my mother during my teen years. She suggested me to do telepathy when I asked her for the key to unlock the land line telephone to make phone calls. The home phone or the land line phone was my toy besides TV or Mini player as l loved talking on the phone with friends to kill times. But the phone was locked to save on the bills and yet could receive incoming calls.

I needed the telephone so badly especially on school holidays. That was the time my mom would ask me to do Telepathy to make the friend whom I wanted to speak to would call me instead. She taught me how to do it and it did not work everytime. I told her that I would do reverse charge call but she didn't buy the trick. I tried to sit with eyes closed and opened trying to do telepathy :) That was then...

Now I am grateful that I open my eyes the netbook is beside me and the cell phone within my grab. These are my now favorite gadgets. Alhamdulillah.

Maid-less in Manhattan

When this happens, I don a Cinderella maid attire (Apron) but wish Fairy Godmother to sweep me away to the living room to watch TV. That's the head of my tale...and it is a long tail to tell about the house chores that needs to do the same tasks over and over again on different day and yet it's uninteresting...

I put on apron on top of my nice clothings to do housework. I dress well in the house not because Prince is around, it is because it is easier to hop into the horse cart to finish the outside work like going to the "mamak" to get gravy sometimes. I fry well but too much work on the gravy. Take home is the trick to survive as a Cinderella.

Anyway, washing, wiping, keeping, cleaning house is great because you find treasures along the way...and to keep the treasures well is a real pleasure...that is my saYang...

saYang

Sayang means love in Malay language. I tried to use it before, it didn't come easy to me. Saying I love you was not hard, much easier saying love you too. I could replace the word sayang to the word "baby or "dear". Until you come into my life, sayang comes so easy, I could utter the word every second when I hold you or look at you or think of you...my sayang ala my sayang...more than words...my sweetheart, my heartbeat. Alhamdulillah.

Travel Green - The last one's the shooting locations for the film Anna & The King in 1998. It still showcases a replica of a Siamese Court feature

This is Sundays in My City hosted by the ever so lovely Unknown Mami.

Kuala Gandah Elephants Sanctuary

Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary is a base for the elephant relocation team, which began the translocation program in 1974. Being the only one of its kind in Malaysia, the team's duty is to track down, sedate and relocate problem elephants from areas whose natural habitats are constantly encroached by human developments, namely plantations. Kuala Gandah Elephant Conservation Centre, or popularly referred to as the Elephant Orphanage Sanctuary, is located within the bio diversified-rich and protected Krau Game Reserve & was set up in 1989 under the DWNP (Department of Wildlife & National Parks, Malaysia), manned by the Elephant Capture & Translocation Unit.

Deerland - World of the Nature Park

The Deerland Park is a privately owned and managed deer park in Lanchang, Pahang. The park has some 30 Indonesian deer (Cervus timorensis). Visitors to the park has a chance to hand feed these gentle creatures and observe their behaviour at close hand. Other attractions in the 4-hectare park located at the edge of the Krau Forest Reserve, include ostriches and a sun-bear (Helarctos malayanus) named Muda. There is also a section dedicated to the cultivation of traditional herbal plants, which has over 40 species of traditional herbs. A 200-metre wooden walkway runs through this area, leading up to an observation tower in the middle of Bukit Rengit.

Our first encounter inside was with two honey bears which had been given to Deerland by the Malaysia Wildlife Council; both bears had been living with the Orang Asli and it was felt
that they would be better cared for at Deerland

Kuala Kangsar, The Royal City

Kuala Kangsar (population 39,300) is the royal town of Perak, Malaysia, located at the downstream of Kangsar River, where it flows into the Perak River. It is the main town in the administrative district of Kuala Kangsar
One flooding was so severe, it almost swept the palace away. Finally, after the Big Flood or Air Bah in 1926, it was decided to move the place further up onto the knoll where stands the current Royal Palace named
Istana Iskandariah with its Art-Deco architecture, a rare but significant piece of architectural milestone in Malaysia.
The town is also the site of the first rubber tree planted in Malaysia. The person responsible was the English botanist Henry Nicholas Ridley. He was the one who helped Malaya and eventually Malaysia become the largest rubber producer in the world. The tree still stands today.
Clearwater Sanctuary Batu Gajah - the shooting locations for the film Anna & The King in 1998. It still showcases a replica of a Siamese Court featured in the film.

It's surrounded by pristine fairways. Majestic raintrees, shimmering lakes and an inviting swimming pool set amidst nature make perfect backdrop for quiet holidays. This is Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Resort in Batu Gajah, near Ipoh in Perak. It’s long been a popular place for golfing and a fantastic one too judging from the numerous awards it has received. Its 27-hole golf course is ranked among the top 10 by Golf Malaysia and has also been voted the best golf resort by Expatriate Lifestyle magazine for the year 2006/2007 and Golf Course of the Year 2007/2008 in the Hospitality Asia Platinum Award 2007.The Raintree Nine is especially lovely with mature trees with branches drooping to the ground.

The resort was one of the shooting locations for the film Anna & The King in 1998. It still showcases a replica of a Siamese Court featured in the film.

SundayS

This is Sundays in My City hosted by the ever so lovely Unknown Mami.

These are the masjids we took breaks for prayers during our outing times for shopping or sight seeing on Sundays.

Sultan Sulaiman Royal Mosque is Selangor's royal mosque, which is located in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. It was constructed by the British in the early 1930s and was officially opened in 1932 by the late Almarhum Sultan Sir Alaeddin Sulaiman Shah of Selangor and the British's Federated Malay States High Commissioner Sir Lawrence Nuuns Guillemard. The mosque's architecture is a combination of Western Art Deco and Neoclassical styles.

Federal Territory Masjid or Masjid Wilayah Persekutuan is a major Mosque in Kuala Lumpur. The beautifully-designed masjid is also commonly known as Masjid Wilayah to the locals.

Ubudiah Mosque - While convalescing from an illness in Port Dickson, Sultan Idris Murshidul-adzam Shah (1887-1916) made a vow to build a mosque at Bukit Chandan, Kuala Kangsar, when he fully recuperated.
After his return to Kuala Kangsar, he commanded Colonel Huxley of the Public Works Department, Kuala Lumpur, to design a mosque which he wanted to build. Architect Hubbert designed the mosque by adopting Moorish architecture in his design. Mr. Caulfield, the State Engineer then, was responsible for the construction. The unique Moorish design by Mr. Hubbert has made Ubudiah Mosque one of the building which attract tourists for its interesting architectural features

Masjid Terapung or Floating Mosque of Tanjung Bungah is a big Malay mosque built at the bay in Tanjung Bungah. Despite its name, the mosque is not floating, but rather standing on pilings and stilts. Nevertheless it is the first mosque to be built in the sea in Malaysia (other floating mosques in Malaysia have so far been built on lakes).

Zee Avi (birth name : Izyan Alirahman,[1] also known as KokoKaina;[2] b. 1986)[3] is a Malaysian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and ukulele player. She was born in Miri, Sarawak, on the island of Borneo. She moved to Kuala Lumpur when she was 12.[4] She studied fashion design at American InterContinental University in London.[5]

In September 2007 Avi posted a video of her first song on YouTube for one of her friends who had missed her first performance in Kuala Lumpur. The friend convinced Avi to leave the video online even after he had seen it, and soon she received positive feedback. This inspired her to put more videos on YouTube.[5] After being featured on the main page of YouTube, she was discovered by Patrick Keeler of The Raconteurs, who passed the link to Ian Montone, the manager of The White Stripes, The Shins, The Raconteurs, and others. Montone passed her music on to Emmett Malloy, who signed her to Brushfire Records, a record company which is partly owned by Jack Johnson.[4] Her song "No Christmas For Me" is featured on Brushfire Records's 2008 Christmas album This Warm December: A Brushfire Holiday.[6]

Her single "Bitter Heart" was first to become available on the US iTunes store, and her full self-titled debut album was released on May 19, 2009, co-produced by Brushfire Records and Ian Montone's Monotone Records. On the day of her album's release, YouTube featured her on the front page in Spotlight: Music Tuesday. From June–August 2009, she toured the United States with Pete Yorn. The final concert on her first U.S. tour was at the Music Box at the Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood, California on August 27, 2009. [7] [8]
