Roasted Chicken Salad & Vege Juice | Ayam Panggang & Jus Sayur

Marinated chicken breast | Perapan dada ayam


We used to buy marinated chicken chops and cuts from a nearby supermarket before the pandemic and they seemed to suit our tastebuds. There are a couple of type of marination; black pepper which is more spicier, and honey herbs which has a sweet mediterranean taste to it. The later one was normally bought since adik don't really go for spicy food. 


It has been quite a number of months since we bought the chickens and what I had in the fridge were chicken keels and drumsticks. 


We always marinated the chickens with the normal tumeric,  tamarind and salt, but for this time I decided to marinate the chicken keels in the fashion with the ones we bought from the supermarket. 


For the marination, I use:

Italian herbs

Sweet basil

Rosemary

Black pepper

Paprika

Honey

Olive oil


The keels were left for about an hour, and then roasted in the oven at 180°C for a total of 40 minutes, flipped at 20 minutes on each sides. 


They turned out great! The taste were same as the ones we bought, and we had a really nice breakfast with the chicken sliced and served with salads and vege juice.

Saya kerap membeli potongan ayam yang telah diperap dari pasaraya yang berdekatan sebelum pandemik bermula dan ia betul betul menepati citarasa kami sekeluarga. Terdapat dua jenis perapan yang dijual; lada hitam yang agak pedas dan herba madu yang terasa manis mediterranean. Yang terkemudian itu selalu dibeli kerana adik tak berapa makan pedas.


Sudah beberapa bulan kami tak membeli juadah ini, dan saya ada beberapa ketulan ayam dada dan drumstik didalam peti ais.


Selalunya ayam diperap dengan serbuk kunyit, asam jawa dan garam, tapi kali ini saya cuba perap dada ayam dengan gaya perapan yang dibeli di pasaraya pula.


Untuk perapan, saya guna:

Herba Itali

Sweet Basil

Rosemary

Lada hitam

Paprika

Madu

Minyak zaitun


Perapan itu ditinggalkan selama satu jam supaya sebati, kemudian dibakar didalam ketuhar pada 180°C selama 40 minit, dimana tiap tiap 20 minit ayam itu dikalihkan. 


Ayam perap bakar itu menjadi sakan! Alhamdulillah. Rasanya sama degan yang kami selalu beli, dan sarapan kami pagi itu amat menyelerakan degan hirisan ayam dihidangkan dengan salad dan juga jus sayuran.
