As usually I would prepare somthing to munch while watching movie. I like kids to watch Eddie the Eagle as it is based on a true story movie full of determination to achieve.

It was about Eddie Edwards was a young boy with high ambition to become an Olympian eventhough his physique did not look like he's the athletic type. Furthermore, he is also wearing thick eye glasses for sight. 

After trying for all kind of sports and failed, resulting on him breaking a few eye glasses along the way, he envisioned himself as an Olympian in the Winter Games instead, after watching the winter game center at his father place of work. He started to ski and won a few competitions from his school and district. He made himself present at the selection to represent his country Great Britain but was 'whisked out' by the officials which told him that he will never be qualified forever for no apparent reason. 

Not discourage by the snubbing, Eddie found out that the only chance for him to be in the Olympic Winter Games is by participating in the Olympic ski jumping event. He made himself available to go to Germany to practice on the sport and after going thru' blood sweat and tears he started to make the jumps and established himself as an Olympic contender for his country with the help from a former athlete.

Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards finally went to the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary Canada in 1988 to participate in ski jumping. 

He went back home to Great Britain with a hero welcome; Not for winning any medals, but the determination and fighting spirit. 

The story of Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards is very interesting. Even though it is already 'dressed up' by Hollywood, the important thing is that his personality of never give up is real. 

The important thing in Olympic Games is not to win but to take part; the important thing in Life is not triumph but the struggle'

Seperti biasa saya akan menyediakan snek semasa menonton filem. Untuk filem yang dibintangi Hugh Jackman, saya lebih teruja kerana filem berdasar kisah benar dan penuh semangat dan gigih mencapai kejayaan untuk dicontohi kepada anak-anak. 

Eddie Edwards ialah seorang kanak kanak yang bercita-cita tinggi untuk menjadi seorang peserta sukan Olimpik namun dia bukanlah 'jenis' ahli sukan. Malah dia mempunyai masalah penglihatan dan perlu memakai kaca mata tebal untuk melihat.

Setelah beberapa cubaan untuk pelbagai sukan yang dipilihnya menemui kegagalan dan juga mematahkan beberapa kaca mata tebalnya itu, Eddie mendapat ilham untuk menyertai Sukan Olimpik musim sejuk apabila melihat tempat latihan sukan tersebut di tempat kerja ayahnya. Dia mula meluncur salji dan memenangi beberapa kejuaraan peringkat sekolah dan kawasannya. 

Dia menghadirikan dirinya untuk trial mewakili negaranya Great Britain tetapi disingkir awal oleh pihak penganjur yang menyatakan dia tidak akan layak sampai bila bila pun untuk mewakili negaranya atas sebab yang tidak munasabah. 

Namun begitu, Eddie tidak putus semangat dan mendapat peluang untuk berlatih di Jerman bagi acara Olympic ski jumping. Dia mendapat tahu yang acara ini satu satunya peluang untuk nya ke sukan Olimpik.

Berbekal semangat waja beliau berjaya membuat loncatan demi loncatan atas didikan seorang kenalan yang merupakan bekas atlit tersebut.

Akhirnya Eddie 'si helang' Edward's berjaya ke sukan Olimpik musim sejuk di Calgary Canada pada tahun 1988.

Eddie balik ke negaranya sebagai seorang hero bukan kerana memenangi apa apa pingat; Tetapi atas semangat juangnya yang tidak pernah mengaku kalah.

Ceritanya amat menarik walaupun telah diolah oleh Hollywood tetapi yang penting ialah peribadi Eddie yang sebenar yang tidak tahu mengaku kalah.
