Terpaksa tapis dulu, atau ketuk-ketuk untuk keluarkan jus.
I used to eat Vietnamese roll atA Aeon Jusco. They are put on display together with sushi, sashimi on the chilled bar. I saw the Vietnamess paper at a baking shop and grab one straight away. Was thinking to make any fillings roll. The Vietnamese paper was sitting in the cabinet.
I didnt plan to make it yesterday evening. I was thinking to make it when everybody had their own food first. Then saw abang's food was almost finished, so as adik's food. Unfortunately, the somtam came without rice. How should I eat somtam alone, it was too tangy? So, I search for the Vietnamese paper, and found it in the cabinet. Cut the plastic packet. Took a piece, soak in the water. Lay on the plate, pick a bit of somtam, shake it a bit hehe to let go the excessive juice. Placed it on the Vietnamese soaked paper. Had to be careful as the somtam juice was more that its vege. So, I got a sifter to make sure the salad is quite dry. The rice paper was really strong. I rotate the filling with leftover spagheti bolognese, then macaroni a bit but mostly were somtam. I didn't eat with any sauce. The taste was good just like that and filling too. After eating salad roll, I felt fresh and light. Make our body fresh feeling, not sleepy or sluggish as the food filled with more vege than carbo. Alhamdulillah.

Saya biasa makan popia Vietnam di Aeon Jusco. Ia diletak bersama sushi dan shasimi atas "chiller".
Saya ternampak kertas beras di kedai, terus beli. kertas beras Vietnam itu dibiar dalam kabinet.
Bercadang mahu buat popia Vietnam bila perut tidak begitu lapar.
Sebetulnya saya tidak merancang untuk membuat popia semalam. Akan tetapi somtam yang datang tanpa nasi. Lihat abang hampir habis makanannya manakala adik pun begitu. Saya terfikir kertas Vietnam. Terus capai, buka paket plastik. Ambil sekeping dan rendam dalam air, letak kertas yang telah basah di atas pinggan. Saya mula dengan somtam untuk mengisi kulit beras. Saya ambil sedikit somtam dengan pengepit dan ketuk-ketuk dengan harapan jus somtam keluar. Selepas letak saya, gulung separuh, lipat tepi dan letak udang dipotong baru gulung lagi. Jika udang yang seekor tu, baru nampak dan cantik. Saya gilir somtam dengan spageti bolognese lebihan dan tambah lebihan mushroom, yang paling banyak ialah somtam yang menjadi isi popia.
Saya makan somtan begitu saja tanpa sos. Memang lazat sangat. . Cukup rasanya, spagetti bercheese pun rasa sedap dimakan dengan kulit popia vietnam.
Alhamdulillah popia vietnam mengenyangkan juga. Badan pun rasa ringan, mata pun kembali segar sebab sayuran lebih dalam sajian ini.
